Urgh, why? · 6:06pm Nov 9th, 2019
For like almost a decade now I've been looking for something to fill the Hunger Games-shaped hole in my heart.
Whyyyyyyyyy is nothing as good? I've never been immersed in a world and a story like that. And at this rate I fear I never will again.
I've been on goodreads all morning looking for something else... anything else that might be close. But I ended up on the page for the Hunger Games itself, just staring wistfully at it and reading everyone's reviews, bringing back the feeling of reading it for the very first time. If only I could again!!
Well. At least a Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is coming! But Artemis only knows if it'll be good.
(Please no one mention Divergent. I tried it - it was sorta similar, and okay. But not even close to being even nearly as good. Gave up before the last book...)
Don't worry about giving up on Divergent. The filmmakers and the movie audience gave up on it too Aside from on this site I don't really read any fictional books. Last book I read was Alien: The Cold Forge. Great book!

Yeah, Veronica Roth was too interested in giving you answers, rather than giving you questions like a great author like Suzanne Collins does. It was bad enough in a book, just didn't work for a movie unfortunately for Lionsgate lol.
- that actually makes me realise that just trade out "Hunger Games-shaped hole in my heart" with "Hunger Games-shaped hole in our profits" and this blog could have just as easily been written by Lionsgate.
I've literally never known anyone as obsessed with Alien as you! You even read Alien books?!!
