    Story Update?

"Hey, that was a weird ass post yesterday. Does that mean there's a story update coming?"

No, I just thought it would be funny in the moment.

    "Will there be?"

Blog #24 - Happy 4th and I Am Still Alive

So since my last post, it's been... a little bit of time. Only a little less than four months...

In that time I've changed positions at work a few times and I'm now working a lot more. I haven't had the time to write, but I'm gonna try and force myself back into it, guys.

Anyways, hopefully, I'll post something again here soon.

    Best,

    Blog Post #22 - 8+ Years

Jesus Christ, it's been over eight years since I joined this website. Eugh. Time flies, I suppose.

So, what would I say of my time on this website? A few words describe it, though they carry mixed emotions.

Blog Post #15 · 2:41am Nov 5th, 2019

Greetings from my college's library.

Textbook Soldier's rewrites will be released here soon along with Chapter 10! One editor is finished with the rewrites, but I'm still waiting on the others to finish up. When they go out, I'll try and post a recap blog post of what's new and what's been removed. Maybe I'll format it like patch notes to entertain myself until I get to the part where I have to format it like patch notes. That's where it gets you.

It's also NaNoWriMo! I'm thinking of trying to participate this year, but I'm not sure what I should do. In all honestly, I should be doing it with Textbook Soldier, but I don't know if I can really do that. Mainly because with this series I micromanage a lot of things and I'm also starting to lose steam on things. Additionally, I've got two other ideas I'd like to do for this month, and since I haven't published anything for them I can work on it without worrying about making sure that thing I wrote a year ago isn't forgotten. I also tried to participate in One-Shot October but as you may have noticed, that did not happen. I had a great idea for a story that I just didn't work on. Seems to be a common thing now. That one shot may still get published, though. I really like the idea and I think I can knock it out if I just tried a little more. Man, if I had a nickle for every time someone told me that...

Moving on from the Sad Boy stuff.

I really did mean it in my last blog post, as short as it was, when I said I was still gonna be sticking around. I have literally no reason to leave this fandom and things are still live and kickin' on this site, so why would I? One thing I do have to say, though, is what's up with all the depressing stories? I mean, yes the show's over and yes there are some depressing new canons that the finale confirmed, but why? Just gimme the funny horse stuff, dammit! Shout out to 2Merr and Snow's Dear Princess Sunbutt and To Anon, from HRH Sunbutt letters. Highlight of my fuckin' day right there. I read them to my non-brony friend and he genuinely finds them funny, even if he doesn't quite understand all the references to the show. They're the heroes we need in these depressing times.

Well, hopefully the next post will be the rewrites are out. Man if I had a nickle for every time I said that, I'd have almost as many nickles as people who've told me to try a little more.

Until next time,
Backslasherton

I know what you mean man, too much doom and gloom going on around here these days.

It's just sort of depressing when everything on here is about death and eternity and all that. Glad to see stories like Hands by Andrew Joshua Talon coming back.
