My thoughts on the MLP series finale

a little late but whateves it took me a while to be inspired to make this. I normally don't talk about things like this because I mostly have neutral opinions on things shows do because I expect it most of the time to disappoint me (and the fact I am a big gay shipper addict and that is the only thing I care about 99 percent of everyday lol) also just I have a low standards on anything being what I want . and this show was the same until the ending which gave me a lot I wanted to talk about so here it is not sure how long this will be, and I will put this under the spoiler tag for the people who have not seen it yet and go through my thought process and here we go.

Episode 25

-so Discord was grogar? well that was really weak and felt like a cop-out but at least it amounted to the idea that Sombra can reform as I always felt he could sadly Sombra didn't return again and was turned good like I wanted and was disappointed #bringhimbackinthecomics

-the whole thing with Discord and Twilight's relationship and how it was written is something I don't understand and still, don't as this was all a test from Discord which is just...why?

-I do like twilight's new demeanor even though I like her freakouts in the past as well, I thought it was interesting to see how her character was being handled out

-Discord made Fluttershy cry....well if there trying to make them a couple there sure doing it in a strange way

-I appreciated my little Discord x Tirek moment it was nice lol

-am I the only one who felt it was strange the pillars were there but have no lines what so ever? it kinda creeped me out for some reason lol

-Wow they made Starlight a badass at the end which I am a sucker for even though I know it makes no sense at all but whatever it was awesome

-always enjoy seeing some more twipie moments the writers are clearly shipping it

-I still don't like the idea of the windigoes and I never will but it was a nice touch of conflict here

-Lack of Shining armor of course.I want him to have more screentime so badly but of course, he just gets a quiet cameo which this show does a lot for some reason

-The final battle at the end was pretty cool I like seeing all the diverse species coming to save the day with the mane 6 even some old Villians (expect svengallop....😞) like flim and flam I wanted them to do something good

-I thought it was interesting to see tempest in the shows art style that will be helpful for my next-gen

-This show loves shooting rainbows as there finale move lol

-they turned cozy glow....a kid...into stone.....oooooookay then.

-huh they didn't reform the three villains....huh how about that the biggest surprise for me in this part honestly

-Still not sure how I feel about Twilight being the new princess since I just can't see a reason for Celestia and luna to leave but at the same time it make sense as a way to progress the story so...ehhh whateves

Episode 26

-wow such a big-time skip, was not expecting that

-I love all the Diversey in the future it gives me a lot of ideas and I think it was a great way to end the show but I wish I saw a grown up garble since he was like one of the very few dragons characters we really got to know.

-ufff I love Spike's new design I just lovvvvvvvvvvvve itttttttttt

-I thought luster dawn was a pretty interesting character i hope we see more of her in the comics

-So lyra and bon-bon got Married I think that is pretty nice (Translation: YESSSSSH FINALLY ALL THE HOMOPHBIC SHIPPERS CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NOW,THIS WAS NEVER MY FAVORITE SHIP BUT I AM GLAD IT HAPPENED TO SHUT UP HETERO PURIST FINALLY)

-I thought the flashback was cute but unneeded I wish I got to see more of this future world (but at the same time that might mean confirming more gross ships so I am not pushing my luck lol)

-So cheesepie became canon huh? I mean I still don't ship hetero pairing but if I had to pick the pinkie ship that bothers me the least it would be this one so ehhh ( Translation: BUT I WISH THEY DIDN'T MAKE SANS SMIRK AND MAKE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH THE SHIP CHEESESMIRK THERE SO CUTE AND I HAVE SO MANY FEELS FOR THIS SHIP AND I WANT THEM TO GET MARRIED AND HAVE A TON OF KIDS.WHY MUST THEY TEASE A GREAT CHEESE SANDWICH OTP AT THE END AND NOT MAKE IT HAPPEN? AHHHHHH)

-So Appledash is canon now.I am cool with that it was never an OTP of mine I was focusing on Rarijack most of the time but watching the show again as I am now I can see where it came from and honestly love it more then I used them so I am content with that ending

-SO glad they didn't make fluttercord canon, that ship has always filled with me with cold and empty feeling and them being together would just never do anything for me and the fact it's super abusive but that is not the thing I go into. (unless asked) if I had to choose a discord ship it would be half genderbent Celestia x Discord, that made more sense

-REALLY SUPER MEGA GLAD STARBURST WASN'T CANON IF IT DID IT WOULD HAVE RUINED THE WHOLE FINALE FOR ME I AM NOT KIDDING THAT IS HOW MUCH THIS SHIP BOTHERS ME

-Also super glad Appletaps,SweetieMash and Rumbloo didn't happen since those boys are gay so....ya know

-And I can't EVEN tell you how glad I was that soriandash didn't happen that ship was just....no from the start and clearly only exist because it's straight and their colors go well. if Rainbow was a boy I doubt the ship would be even 1/4 popular as it is

-Also lol not even gonna bring up Flashlight at all, show how unimportant it was to Hasbro lol

-Sugermac is still a thing and they had a kid....ugh. they really should have gotten a divorce since the three episodes focused on it was Big Mac and suger belle learning the same lesson of there lack of communication again, again, and again. on top of the fact they made Big mac act like an idiot like in hearts and hooves day which is a big red flag there to be inspired by him during a love curse and I don't care what the ending say I doubt their communication skill got better this pairing makes me bitter I literally would perfer any other Mac ship

-Glad we didn't see if Maud and Mud had a kid

- still can't take the passing away in this world seriously as they did with Granny smith because there is de ageing spells in this world so....you know, not sure why more ponies don't do that in this world but whatever

-Yona/Sandbar is still really Ewww and comes of nowhere but it was nice to see Smolder/Ocellus being canon as well and that gallus find a goal in his life (but need to get his boyfriend back lol)

-Still no svengallop ughhhhhhhhh......welp time to use my favorite power of headcanon

-this was quite a nice song at the end didn't make me cry but it made me feel emotional I will admit as I realized this show I was following for about 2 to 3 years was ending which how late to the game I was

-Closing the book as the last scene, that was a REALLY nice touch I will admit.

So yeah I think this was all I wanted to say (might add later)but my closing thoughts as I thought it was a good send-off for the show despite the plot holes and strange writing choices, and as I rewatch the show I feel myself appreciating it even more.I can't wait for Gen 5 and the season 10 comic and I hope this fandom keeps itself going so I can be a part of it and meet amazing people and more gay ships hehehe
