Today, my friends, has been an...interesting....day.
My problems actually started last night, when my dad informed me we were going hiking today. He told me this at 9:30 P.M.
The conversation went something like this:
Dad: "By the way, prepare for an early morning tomorrow!"
Me: "Okay. Wait, why?"
Dad: "We're going hiking."
Me: "....what? When was I going to be informed of this!"
Dad: "It's on the calendar!"
Me: "In PENCIL!!!! With a QUESTION MARK!!!!"
So I, who had planned my entire Friday around the fact that my Saturday would be completely clear, had to scramble to find out what the heck I was supposed to do with everything I was planning on doing that now could not be done.
And then today, I woke up with horrible stomach cramps.
And the drive to the place where we were hiking was about two hours long.
THAT was not a very fun two hours...though I did start feeling better close to the end of it.
To be honest, the hike itself wasn't that bad......except it started raining.
We were sheltered a lot by trees, but it was still windy and cold and unpleasant. And the whole way was uphill. The view from the top of the mountain we hiked up, though....that made it a lot better. Even if it was absolutely freezing.
I was VERY glad when we got back to the visitor center. It took us about half an hour to corral all my brothers and get them back in the car, then it was another two hour drive back home. By this point I was feeling better, if sore and tired out, and I actually fell asleep for around twenty minutes. I somehow managed to wake myself up by tripping and falling over....inside my dream.
Even my dream self is unbelievably clumsy.
After I got back home, I had a lovely 3.5 seconds to put my stuff down before I had to get started on chores I missed today. Luckily, at this point my parents were merciful, and decided to let me off a whole bunch of chores so I only had to do two. But then I had leftover schoolwork to be finished....and right about then I was nearly brain dead.
So, that was my day.
I survived!
Also, ran into a Zelda fan on top of the mountain. There were several people up there, and there was this one guy with a weird musical instrument. I'm guessing it was wind powered or something, but there were these metal tabs I guess you would pull to play notes. It sounded like bells playing a song--it was so pretty! He was playing the Lost Woods\Saria's song, and my brother and I started humming along. He heard us and we spent a few minutes geeking out. XD
Wow, sounds very eventful.
Bleh, always distaste those days when ones parent/s say "hay we'er doing this today" with out having planed it out with you and everyone else as a group.
