TrotCon 2020 : M. A. Larson · 10:31pm Sep 30th, 2019

Say, those names sound familiar…

Certain individuals—you know who you are—spent a good part of their time wandering around the final BronyCon pushing for Ohio's TrotCon to be its spiritual heir apparent. While it's far from its peak attendance, by my visual estimates, I say why the hell not? And Mr. Larson apparently agrees.

The best panel I've ever attended at a pony con, an absolutely packed one, was Larson's presentation on the development of The Cutie Mark Chronicles at TrotCon a few years back. He then hung around to wrangle the microphone for the Libman/New panel afterwards, doing a fantastic job of entertaining as well as policing the questions!

For those that heard him speak at BC 2019's closing ceremonies, perhaps it isn't much of a surprise to see him coming to a Brony event that is probably ten months off. But, in the soon to be post-broadcast era of this fandom, the post-BronyCon age, in a time of questioning and doubt, having Mitch Larson give us, and TrotCon in particular, a vote of confidence has made me rather optimistic.

And gawd damn, of late, I've needed that.

㎰ - Okay youse horse famous writing dudes and dudettes... figure out how to get him on a panel where he talks about writing books and series of books. I think you'd have a winner there. Oh, and @RobC - We need to have him pounding out ponyfic on a mechanical typewriter while wearing an Admiral Biscuit tee. Make it happen!

Yes! Both of those must happen! As one of the loyal Biscuit Legion, I stand ready to do my part!

Huzzah!

I WOULD CRY IF HE ACTUALLY SHOWED UP TO TYPE ON ONE OF MY TYPEWRITERS.

And Admiral would just laugh as he watches him doing it, wearing one of his shirts.
