Hey everyone, and welcome back to the story!
The first thing I want to do is talk about my last blog, which was actually a cryptic announcement that the story was going to resume. The song I posted, called ‘Tomorrow’ by Ozzy Osbourne, ends each chorus—and the song itself—with the words “I’ll see you... tomorrow!”
This was meant to be taken literally, (with the story’s status being changed from hiatus to incomplete as a second clue) as I posted the first chapter in nine months the following day. No one commented though, so I don’t know if anyone picked up on it. Not a big deal; wondering if anyone would catch on and say something was part of the fun.
Anyway, some of you were asking how often I would be publishing from now on, so I just wanted to briefly touch on that. As you may have guessed, since I am publishing again, that must mean that the story is completely written, and you would be correct. The entire thing is written in first draft form, meaning there is still a boat-load if proofreading and editing to do, as well as some arrangement and continuity checking. It’s a lot of work, BUT, having the first draft complete takes a major workload off, so I should be able to keep it going at a semi-regular pace. I will try my best to keep new chapters released in two weeks or less, but, on the same token, nothing is set in stone. I don’t want to overload myself with this project anymore; I want to enjoy it as much as you do—at least I hope you do—so if I don’t feel like working on it some nights, or if there’s simply no time left in the day, then so be it.
Please don’t take this as me placing you all in the back burner. This project has been a massive undertaking and a lot of time/effort went into getting this far. Finishing it is very important to me—and I hope you are entertained by it—which is why I can’t let myself get burnt out again before it’s done. Believe me, the last nine months have been extremely trying, and there were a few times that I felt like throwing in the towel, especially during the last bit. Luckily, I managed to eek through it, thanks to the support I received from other site members, and from now on we’re gonna try to take it easy, low and slow, and hopefully have lots of fun in the coming months.
See you soon!
