Random Idea #83: Sword vs Gun fights (in visual media)

I had some shower thoughts after watching some various fight shows, specifically about choreography. So, I assume we’re all broadly familiar with sword fights.

Note that “gun” and “sword” here are simply shorthand for any ranged, projectile weapon and any melee weapon, punches and kicks included.

Idea #82: A random review of Cyberformula: Road to the Infinity 1 to 4

The audience for this game outside of Japan is probably in the low hundreds, but after binging the games for the past two weeks, I needed some way to organize my thoughts.

First of all, what is Cyberformula?

Bonus content to Idea #75: Worldbuilding

    Sonic Franchise
Seriously, how the hell did I forget about the franchise memetically associated with hundreds of fan OCs?
    1) Setting: Mobius and other various locales seem to imply a fairly Earth like world [1]
    2) Inhabitants: waves hand in the vague direction of sonic OCs [1]

Random Idea #81: Complaining about Scale in third person POV games

In most games at human-scale, and even car scale to a certain extent, the 3rd POV doesn’t greatly change how large things appear to be. Your avatar is still going to look small when standing next to a large truck. The game “It Takes Two” is a great example of this, since the characters are shrunk to the size of dolls and tossed into the insides of machines and snowglobes. A gear the size of a

Random Idea #68: Superhuman-powered transport · 5:50am Sep 28th, 2019

I was being distracted and reading manga, and I was musing on the feats of superhuman strength and speed and how, well, its always a human(oid) of some sort using those abilities. That specific type of super speed and reaction time is rarely seen in mecha, which while sometimes fast, is generally more involved with either giant swords or giant explosions. There's Hulk playing whack-a-mole with physics, the Flash being a dude who runs fast, Sanji of One Piece being able to kick the air hard enough to fly somehow, etc. Always superhuman abilities with humans (well, duh).

Meanwhile, mecha traditionally brings to mind stuff like Pacific Rim with giant, lumbering machines that can deliver the world's biggest haymaker, but doesn't exactly have the capability to do iaijutsu (superfast quickdraw strike).

Made me wonder, like, outside of maybe supernatural consciousness or whatever, they're still made of items you supposedly can pick up out of a periodic table in-universe. Humans aren't made of Element imaginary-6 or whatever, something beyond the mortal realm that can only be summoned through birth. (RIP Elric's mom)

Assuming no completely magical atom or molecule in humans, one could theoretically try to produce it via technology and then infuse physics warping shit into machines. At even the most basic level, you can use efficiency tools/machines with more power/speed than you can get with like, a 50 horsepower engine. Imagine Naruto-ninjas having their speed multiplied (for travel, anyways) with bicycles, because its cheaper than training a ninja-horse or being lucky to get rideable summons.

If its something that only works when attached to biological life for whatever reason .... (looks at piles of zombies)

This is basically an expansion of idea 64 with the zombie legs powering a crankshaft. If you can output enough power to blow up mountains, you can fly a pedal-prop plane, probably.

You will now imagine 12 bunch of muscles and tendons inside a V12 kicking really fast on the piston heads.

on a side note, I got this other non-pone fic I've been sometimes plugging away yet, and I'm constantly amused by this (unwritten) scene where he makes an entrance riding in on a bicycle while the tiny rotary engine in his chest is BRRAPBRAPBRAPing away. Yes, he is also undead, this should not be surprising.
