    New chapter update tomorrow

It's been almost nine months but Night Terrors should be seeing an update tomorrow morning. This is a story that I feel has been underperforming a lot throughout its run, and there's a good chance it'll be my last long story for the foreseeable future. That said, it's still one that's very special to me, and I hope people will stick around to the end of it. I've wound up altering the outline I

April chapter updates — an update about updates

I’ve been running into a road block while working on some of my current projects lately and thought I’d write out a little status update for where I’m at story update wise for this month. This is going to be a mixed bag in terms of update timelines, but I always like to share where I’m at with my work anyways, even if it’s the kind of content that maybe one or two people actually enjoy reading

    Odyssey Chapter I is out

Because of how I'm working on this particular rewrite, the reworked chapters will not appear as "new" chapters and the story won't appear as "updated". So what that means is that I'm going to have to work harder with every update to get the story out there. This chapter shouldn't be unfamiliar to longtime readers, however, it will have some very subtle yet significant lore changes towards

    Relaunching "Odyssey"

You might have noticed, I rebranded and did some tweaking to "Odyssey". The first "prologue" chapter is up, though I guess it's not technically a true prologue, but rather more of a lore-filled intro. I don't want to get people's hopes up yet, so I'm not going to commit to a full structured release schedule yet, but expect infrequent updates that are made up of the original chapters but

Unsure what to do with "Odyssey"

So I'm going to preface this by saying that the point of this blog post is to gauge interest on whether this story should continue or not, and how that should go if I do. If you like the story and just want to see it continue then please let me know below. If you want to read into more of my thoughts on it and get an explanation for *why* it's been on hiatus for so long, then feel free to read

New Horizons · 8:40am Sep 9th, 2019

It’s been a long time since I’ve made a blog post... well at least it feels that way for me.

So where are we? Well Desert Getaway was released and completed back in July and was an incredibly fun collaboration with Lawra. It introduced some ideas and concepts into the universe that I felt were fairly fresh and gave some good opportunities to branch off for future projects. More importantly It also gave me an idea of where to take my sequel project.

As a fairly new writer I’m still learning what works best and what doesn’t, and I’ve decided to do something a little different with my next project. Originally it was going to be a smaller endeavor set around the end of Halira’s story, Monsters We Make. This worked fine for me, however it became kind of obvious that leaving such a large chronological gap in between projects meant that there was six years of in universe events and development that I’d have to comment on and include somehow. So I started coming up with different ideas and paths that my characters could go down during that gap. Soon enough I decided that rather than just dumping it all in as exposition I could actually show those events in action.

So here we are now, I have 10 entries (to start) planned out for “New Horizons” which is what I’ve decided to call the sequel to both Departures and Desert Getaway. Rather than one big long narrative it’s a collection of shorter entries that all tie in and connect to each other. They’ll all function as self contained stories but if you read all of them in order you’ll see a little narrative play out that’ll eventually culminate in the ending (and maybe even a few future entries too!)

So here’s a little sample of what to expect, not exactly the most descriptive titles but I’ve really enjoyed working in this so far, and I can’t wait to start sharing it with you all!
