Kinda-Sorta-Not-Really Hiatus? · 8:36am Aug 17th, 2019
So, in an effort to keep you guys informed, I should really make this a blog post.
Short version, I burned myself out pretty hard on I'll Bring You Home. It's a big project, and in the past 6 months I've written 80K words on a single story if you include the planning. For some, that's not a lot. For me, that's an absurd amount. Especially when you consider that's a single story; I've done a bunch of writing alongside that too.
Longer version is... ehhhhh I don't wanna get into my personal life and the ceaseless cycle of depression, but suffice to say life's be fun. Emphasis on the sarcasm there, if you couldn't tell.
Anyway, so I'm gonna make this a kinda-official hiatus. I'm still actively working on I'll Bring You Home, just... much too slow to keep up a release schedule. Like.. maybe 100-200 words a night. It's rough going, but what're ya gonna do? I'll call this a hiatus only because I don't know how long it'll be between updates from now on, but I'll be abandoning any semblance of a schedule; chapters will go up when they're done. Theoretically the story will be done before the end of the year, though it may take a proper Christmas Miracle. We'll see. The next arcs shouldn't be quite as much of a slog, but who knows. I sure as hell don't. And I have a multi-thousand word plan for this stupid thing.
Also I wanna do more work on the side, because writing Twi and Dash not in a relationship is draining me of my fuzzy-feel-goods, and I just want to write about lesbian horses kissing already, damnit!
So, recap; kinda a hiatus from I'll bring You Home. Chapters will happen when they happen. Don't despair; it's far from abandoned.
Also Fire Emblem; Three Houses happened.
Sue me.
