    Oh hey I wrote something

It’s just a short chapter for Slices of Raridash, but it’s something!

I’ve had a terrible case of writers’ block lately. No idea if this is a sign of pushing out of it but I suppose we’ll see!

Thank you all for the interest!

I really hope I can do you all proud with this story. It’s a lot more ambitious than my usual content, and I’m hoping I can do the concept justice.

This is why I never said I was "officially" retired.

Guess I suddenly got an urge

Maybe I'll do more? I don't know! This just popped into my head and I did a thing.

    Everything must (kind of) go!

    Hi!

So I haven’t been here in a long time. I know this and I apologize.

I think…I hate to say it, but I think my pony writing days might be over?

Maybe not, but I just haven’t had the motivation to write in quite a while, despite having a few ideas.

Considering a bit of publication and I'd like opinions! · 5:01pm Aug 12th, 2019

After seeing the success of the Bronycon Bookstore, I've been thinking even more about putting some of my stories into a compilation and getting it printed up! It's going to take a bit more consideration and research, but I figured I'd put feelers out and see:

1) If people would be interested in buying physical versions of things I wrote, and

2) What stories people would like to see printed?

I figured I'd put a bunch of shorter stories together, but I'm also putting consideration towards doing a bigger story, maybe with a couple of little stories in there too. Everything's still in the VERY early planning process, though, and I figured those two questions above would definitely help me figure out what exactly to do.

So feel free to answer those questions if you'd like to help me out! The only stories I flat-out wouldn't consider getting printed are the mature stories, since I'd prefer to have something that's family-friendly

I think it would depend on which stories you're putting into the book. But I think the overall consensus would buy a book from you.

Two quick notes on producing paper copies of your fanfiction stories (other than the sticky wicket of trying to keep it non-profit to avoid Hasbro lawyers and properly acknowledging copyright, which are other topics)

1) It's incredibly easy to put out a book on Lulu. All you need is a formatted PDF set to the Lulu template for size and margins, a JPG of the correct size for the cover, and you can have a printed book headed your way in about a half-hour.
2) Getting #1 done correctly, and looking good, can be a long, hard, struggle. (but it's worth the effort)

A nice, round number is about 100k words, which works out to around 300 pages, or about 5-6 bucks.

And here's where my tendency to write short stuff bites me, haha. My two longest non-compilation stories add up to 85k words. One of them is Small Scale, which I'd hope would get enough interest, and the other is Hood Rat, which was a personal favorite of mine.

I'll have to look into it and figure out how to format it! Thanks for the info, and I might bug you about it again in the future. I-if that's okay, I mean :yay:

5104589 Maybe for a future story you should write a story that is 150 to 250,00 words. I mean Anthropology has 130,000 words and it was turned into a book and Long Road to Friendship has over 200,00 words. Maybe that could work.
