Happy Birthday Brian Drummond · 4:22pm Aug 10th, 2019
Today is Brian Drummond's birthday, he is the talented man who has voiced countless characters on the show though some of his most noticeable include: Mr. Carrot Cake, Filthy Rich, Noteworthy, Dr. Whooves (in his first appearance), Ahuizotl, and Uncle Orange. However, he has not voiced any characters in the show at all since the end of Season 7 (his last speaking role was in "It Isn't The Mane Thing About You").
He does still do voice work for other shows and products that use Vancouver's voice acting pool (which is unionized), since the start of the 2010's he has voiced Wolverine in dubs of the Astonishing X-Men comic series. And he had many speaking roles throughout the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z (he was one of the few who stuck around for the entire dub even during the rushed job during the Cell and Buu sagas). That includes Vegeta, where he famously uttered the memeworthy line "Over 9,000!". More recently, he reprised the role of Vegeta as an evil clone for two episodes of Dragon Ball Super. And he has a family (including a daughter who is also into voice acting: Brynna Drummond who voiced Babs Seed).
Happy birthday, Brian. I hope you'll be brought back to voice characters for the upcoming fifth generation. As a birthday present, enjoy the clip that made you famous:
He also did Sea Breeze.
