Boy, I'm really good at contradicting myself, huh?
Well, whatever, I've decided to tackle commissions yet again, because I haven't had any particularly thrilling ideas for any of the fringe, niche, weird depravity that I made my name writing (and also I need the money, but what else is new?). I've recently made some changes in my life that have benefited my workflow a considerable amount, so I can say with absolute certainty that things will be going better this time.
We're gonna do the same kinda dealio as last time: As of right now, I will be opening up a mere THREE (3) TWO (2) JUST ONE (1) commission slots. The caveat I'm putting on these commissions is that they must be self-contained, one-shot ideas of a reasonable length. Due to time restraints and also my swiftly deteriorating sanity, I cannot in good conscience commit to any more 9k, multichaptered epics. I'm looking for 3 to 5k, although if your idea is really good (and you don't mind a bit of waiting), I might be able to work out something with you.
Now that we've got that out of the way.... Pricing!
My current going rate is $8/1K words, half payment upfront to put the story into my work schedule and then the other half when the thing is done and ready for posting. If the story happens to go over, that's on me, don't you worry. Prices are fairly negotiable, and I like to think I'm a reasonable guy, so I think we'll be able to work something out.
