Stormy is a silly pony and provided you a temporary join link, but not an explanation as to why you would want to click on it.
The community in question is referred to as the EQRG (Equestria Royal Guard). In its hey-day, it was a MechWarrior Online / PlanetSide 2 / War Thunder / Star Citizen brony gaming clan / guild / whatever-the-relevant-term-would-have-been-in-game. Over time, interest in those games waned but the majority of members remained together as a community of friends.
Today, the EQRG has roughly a hundred or so people still actively chatting, sharing memes, art, videos, music, and fiction with each other and spans the globe, with the majority in the US or Canada, but boasting a sizable European membership as well.
They are a great bunch of people and Stormy is being modest. When I led them, one of the best decisions I ever made was bringing Stormy into my leadership team, and while I wasn't the acting leader who chose him as their successor, I fully approve of my successor's choice in doing so.
