Welp, just got home from family get together to find my usual MLP episode source bloating with what I assume is episode leaks. Already seen a few hints of spoilers floating around, so Imma watch these to catch up a bit. My rule is to watch as long I get the episode in order, so let’s go.
Absolutely no idea what is in store for me on this one, so that’s nice. Tho the title makes me wonder if it relates to the return cameo I’ve heard fans being excited about. Anyway, let’s see for ourselves.

Ah, one of those early releases in other countries, based on what those subtitles look like, not actual leaks, my bad. At least the audio is still original English.
“You guys need to look behind you once in a while!” It’s funny ‘cuz cartoon logic dictates no one can ever see what’s going on behind them 8D
“Applejack has that hat!” had me genuinely laughing out loud, despite I lost my voice this weekend.
And my thought is “Delicious asbestos cupcake” for some reason.
Not even made it to the themesong yet and Pinkie already had me strain my poor throat with being hella on mark with her punchlines in this one!
I don’t even follow the blog by I passed by to get the character stuck in my head from, and my first thought was still “Lettuce Salad is canon?” at that character’s introduction until they removed the horsemask.
I’m mixed on this character, but I think I adore him. This straight faced appreciation of comedy is kind of well done with him, wow.

Oh I forgot how much I missed Cheese Sandwich actually on screen talking.
I’m getting hard vibes about this from the same feel of artists losing their love for art when turning their passion into a chore.
Just wanna comment looking at Cheese Sandwich make me remember how much just animating expressions have improved on this show since his last cameo. Just subtle, just the right details giving more depths to the emotions, better timing, little things. The show already looked pretty good from the start, but only improved in its style over the years and seasons. Just wanted to nod to that.

Big mood on how I feel whenever I try to smile for a picture, heh.
Gotta say, I’m loving this episode so far. Not just the return of Cheese Sandwich, but for an episode about trying to force a pony to “find their laugh” the gags and jokes are simple yet funny and not horribly forced and cringey as it could easily turn into. It all just feels natural and definitely got a few good laughs out of me from the start. Well done.
I cannot get over how much I adore Sans Smirk each time he opens his mouth to talk, wow. They could SO easily created a stick in the mud character for his role, but I adore how much he appreciates fun and gags even if scientifically and without laughs himself. He’s so adorable and works so well with Pinkie!

Okay, this episode was adorable and had me smiling the whole way. Didn’t felt forced and was great to see Cheese Sandwich return with lines and more than just a background mention. It did very well.
Best thing out of all this was Sans Smirk tho, darn he was well put together when working with Pinkie. Just perfect team.
Welp, think I’ll do a few more episodes to catch up since I got access to them.
