From Creepy to Cute. [Very Important News on Stories] · 7:22am Jul 5th, 2019
Hi, all. Shadowmane PX-41 here. I just wanted to give you a little bit of an update on one of my stories. And it might come as a little bit of a disappointment to the people who liked reading it, but I'm afraid that Little Jolts of Shadow is coming to an end. Not because I've been thinking of a good way to close it off or that I've run out of ideas, but because of the fact that it's become "creepy" and unsettling to read. And in the case of Age Regression, creepy should never be a factor of the story's quality. I've made this bed and now I've had to lie in it and see exactly how much of a huge mistake I've made with this story. And this is coming from a guy who used to regress characters all the time and the times before that, I usually made it cute to some degree but never disturbing and unsettling to read. And it's because of that, the next chapter will be the FINAL chapter. It's a cop-out, I know. But it's ruined already, so I don't think it's really doing any harm if I end a terrible story as fast as possible before it makes you even more upset.
But all is not lost. Because from the ashes of this story, a new story will rise up. One that I'm sure will be cute no matter what. As it features not Age Regression, but a toddler character from the beginning.
In this new story, called Heart-a-Flutter, we will follow the adventures of a very young, very smol Fluttershy who looks exactly like this. On a cold and frosty Autumn morning, an OC by the name of Keychain will find her on his doorstep. Not because she was abandoned, but because she was simply exploring the world around her. She came alone and her parents are nowhere to be found. So, he will take care of her and keep her safe until either he finds her parents, or until she grows up. Though, for me personally, I lean more towards the latter.
This story will have no main story outside of the finding her parents. Instead, this story will be heavily reaction-based, with every new chapter after the intro being Fluttershy discovering things. Whether it's trying to make her own food in the kitchen, going out into the garden to find some animals or flowers, a trip to the shops with Keychain, or even her having a fear of something and him trying to help her conquer it at a very young age, rather than let it fester into her older life.
