Before I start this post, I’m putting up a plug for My Twitter. I’ve had it for a while, but it's recently become somewhat active, so you should go drop me a follow and see what I’m up to!
Hey all, it’s been a minute. Life’s been busy, lots of stuff going down all the time, but I’ve recently found both time and motivation to write. I’ve got something new ready to go, and it’s high time I made the announcement.
I haven’t said a lot about it here on this site, but anyone who knows me personally will know that I’m a huge fan of the Student Six. I absolutely love all of them and the interspecies shenanigans they bring to the show, and my latest project focuses on two of them: Gallus and Silverstream. I’ve had birbs on the brain for a while, and now I’m doing something about it.
It’s an adventure, a romance, a drama. There will be a lot of turns from lighthearted and sweet to deep and dark. The story is going to be a longer-term project, and I expect that it could easily run into the 100k length range. I know I don’t have a great track record when it comes to completing longer fics (Learning Curve fans, there will be an update at some point!), but I’ve made some impressive progress in the last few months. I have three chapters completed currently, about 20,000 words, and more on the way.
The release date hasn’t been set yet, but it is happening very soon. I’m waiting on the cover art to be completed, but once I get that in, we are go for launch. There will be another blog up soon with a complete description and more details about the story, so be on the lookout!
