The Dreaded Two-and-a-half Week Hiatus! And Other Story News.

Roughly four months and two weeks have passed since I last posted a chapter in Per Speculum, but only the last two weeks of that actually had the "On Hiatus" tag. Well... While I doubt anyone has noticed at this point, I've got some good news to share. I flipped the status from "On Hiatus" back to "Incomplete". Why, you may ask? Well, I've got my creative juices back and another chapter lined up for release, with a few others being polished as we speak. The next chapter will be up 11:54 am, Friday June 21st. Oddly specific time? Well, I said I was gonna get it out in time for the Summer Sun Celebration, didn't I? I'm planning to publish the next chapter right at the solstice.

Now then, moving forward, I'm not looking to repeat the burn-out pace I was hoping for when I first started writing this story. I had hoped that such a fast turn around time on chapters was going to keep me from losing interest in it, but it only served to make me lose interest in writing just about anything. So, my *intention* is going to be to update this story about once a fortnight. Hopefully doing so will give me the chance to enjoy writing this story fast enough to not lose interest but slow enough to not burn out. We'll see about that, though.

In other news, however, some of you *may* have seen I posted a short story as well a few days ago. If you haven't, the story is Schneller Geist: The Demon of Hollow Shades and is set in the same universe that this story. Only it takes place roughly two years after the events of Per Speculum. Pretty sure I can mention it's the return of Princess Celestia / Daybreaker that's the big event of Per Speculum without being an *actual* spoiler. Really, that's the only thing one really needs to know from Per Speculum to read Schneller Geist, and even that is only a bit part really. I should have given enough allusion to that already... possibly even with a heavy stick. Also, I want to mention that, alongside writing that one-shot and working on Per Speculum, I've also been working on a few other side stories. I make no promises when (or even if) I'll be posting any of them, but I figured I'd let you all know that there is more in the works than just this. Hopefully my readers will actually give the other pieces a try as well. *Fingers crossed*
