I Need To Make Something Clear

I know I've been very absent lately but I still give advice to writers now and again as PMs. Lately there's been a problem which I need to remedy.

    My OCs are my own.
Characters such as Cascadius, Colonel Peregrine, Nancy, Blue Murder, Tybalt, Shadowplay, Tungsten and others.

    Putting My Webcomic Out There

Hi guys. Just to show you what I've been working on all this time.
Deviantart and Tumblr are a bit...let's say shaky right now in terms of putting your art out there and I've been looking for more specialised sites for my webcomic.
So I've finally got a Tapas page.
    The Tale Of Cao Aman

    27 Today And Some News

Hi everybody. Sorry I've been so distant lately.
Twenty-Seven years old today...and I'm told I still look seventeen. Don't ask me what my secret is, I'm just as puzzled, but not complaining.

So I've Heard About The Rings Of Power

So I'm actually quite looking forward to The Rings Of Power, the soon-to-be cinematic series based on Tolkien's Middle-Earth lore. The Lord of the Rings is probably my favourite film trilogy and, while it's debated to this day, I really enjoyed The Hobbit series.
And there's something I feel I need to say...

So There's This Schedule For Disney Films That People Have Seen · 7:47pm Jun 1st, 2019

I'm taking it with a grain of salt.
However I feel about what films they'll be making (And honestly, the best-sounding could go bad and the worst-sounding could turn out well) I'm not seeing as very credible.
Even if it's come from a genuine source.

If there's one thing the economics of the entertainment industry has taught me (And the history of Disney has taught me) it's that no-one can be that certain of smooth-sailing throughout.
Not even Disney.
Anything can happen.

Speaking my opinion, while I quite like the remakes, mostly, I get why people don't and I get why people have a problem with them. Like a lot of people I do wish Disney would start making original movies, even if they can be a bit hit-and-miss nowadays (*Cough*Nutcracker*Cough*)
Many people worry about the Disney Remakes, how Disney seem to be only be going over old ground and so forth.
But I'm not worried. Because Disney have been here before.
At the end of the 90's and the early 2000's when they were producing those mediocre sequels to their films (Just to remind ya', they existed!) which were often little more than disguised pilots for cartoon series on the Disney Channel. Not all of them were bad, I actually watched a few when I was little, but they were never anything near the level of their originators.
And while they were different from the remakes, sure, the essential method is the same.
Disney were banking their success on the hype of previous successes.
And whether it's a low-budget spin-off two years afterwards or a high-budget remake ten years afterwards...in the end, it'll only take them so far before the trend changes and they need to move on.

To be honest, the worst thing the anti-remake crowd can do is make a scene because that's still generating hype. People will see it just to see if its as bad as they say just as others will see it for the opposite reason.
The best thing to do, the way I see it, is to just take it on the chin, wait for it to come out on DVD before giving it a proper critical but non-dismissive analysis and support the other animated movies, Disney or not, coming out. Because animation is far from dead.
Nowadays the 2D animation Disney was famous for has become more specialised. Rarely seen of course but made all the more valuable for it. Things like Studio Ghibli and Cartoon Saloon prove 2D animation can still draw a crowd and is now being treated more respectfully, more like an art form.
With that in mind, maybe it's better Disney don't go back to traditional animation, at least not yet. Give it more time for that style of animation to become more valuable to the crowd before it becomes mainstream again.
Because as I said before, that's when the roaches come out to chase after the bandwagon.

Regardless, I'll take it as they come and treat the upcoming films, however well they fit the schedule with interest.

Good point, we can only wait and see. And even they learn from mistakes
