Dear Diary,
My friends and I went to the Canterlot Library today in hopes of finding a book that would help us rescue Arc! I also scheduled a meeting with the princesses to confess my wrongdoings. Hopefully they will defer any sentence against me until after we’ve gotten Arc out of Tartarus!
The trip to the library was… less than successful. Nopony has ever written too much on how to escape that place, as nopony has ever done it! A shiver runs down my spine every time I speak those words! But I must hold out hope that Arc is alive!
Good news! The princesses say there is an item that can lower the barrier around Tartarus! But… they won’t let me use it! I… I can understand their reasoning after all. Any number of prisoners could escapes but… I just can’t help but be filled with sadness and rage at their cavalier attitude toward this situation! Princess Luna especially! Cadance… why didn’t you back me up?! Tried to talk Princess Luna into my plan! I’m sure if Princess Celestia were here I could convince her to trust me with… to trust me… trust… me…
TRUST! While it pains me to admit it, that’s what caused this in the first place! Or lack of trust, that is! If I had just listened… just… heard Arc out, none of this would have happened!
Diary, I… I promise here and now, if we can save Arc, I’ll never jump to conclusions ever again! If this is the result… I just can’t bear this again!
Talk less, listen more! It may save you a lot of grief in the long run.
