Journal Entry - Volume 2 - Chapter 1 · 1:44am May 25th, 2019

Dear Journal,

Things aren’t exactly going the way I thought they would today. For starters, when I woke up this morning, I didn’t expect Twilight to FREAKING BETRAY ME!!! Okay! Taking a deep breath and thinking rationally now!

When I first came to Equestria, I thought I had seen the most bizarre places imaginable! I was wrong. This place... wherever here is, definitely isn't like Equestria! I awoke in some kind of temple with a singe large door. Walking out I was greeted by what can only be described as... hell! Hot, very hot! Sulfur pools, open plains, giant bugs and other various monsters were all I could see! Lucky for me Twilight sent me here with Derpy's Spear of Hope! If you can call any of this lucky!

Lacking any better ideas, I turned and started walking. Before too long, I came upon a road! As I followed it I soon saw a wagon and it's drive beset by... bugs! Rushing over to lend a hand, I quickly saw that the driver was none other than a bona-fide dragon! This revelation surprised me! That is, until I remembered that I had been living in a land filled with talking ponies, pegasi and unicorns. Together we battled back our attackers as best we could! As they closed in around us, I thought that the end had come! Until I felt a power surge through Derpy's spear! The bugs were reduced to dust in an instant!

Turning to the dragon, whom introduced herself as Ember of the Vile Tribe, I introduced myself and accepted her invitation to her tribe! Even now, as she drives us to her... town... or whatever, I can't help wonder if this is really a good idea! But... caution isn't really an option right now! There's no way I can survive out her alone! Against my better judgment, I'm going with her to the end of this road. Hopefully it doesn't end with a cliff!

Even in the darkest of circumstances, hope can be found if you look hard enough.
