When someone tries to tell me that the ending to Star Vs. The Forces of Evil was good, or they try to say that Star is a good person · 2:20pm May 21st, 2019

Still better than the Game of Thrones finale.
Looking at the totality of that last season I really get the feeling when Disney told them they were wrapping up on that season they did not tell them until they already had a bunch of these episodes mostly through production hence why so many plot threads are brought up in this season but then go nowhere in any way (for example why "waste" an episode on Meteora learning to dig deep but then not have it really come up in a significant way for the rest of the show). There were a number of episodes that could have been cut and the season would work better (the episodes are on their own fine but since I feel that they did not use what they brought up in those episodes they are taking up time that could have been used for making the ending make more sense). As an example while the concept of magic being more dangerous than it is worth could be an interesting concept the show never got the time to bring up and explore. The last episode could be seen showing that Moon perhaps should not have magic and others should not be using magic but it does not really show that magic itself is the problem Star just declares it to be so and it does not feel right as an actual solution (as her coming to quick and wrong solution I could see working in the story as is but the last episode shows that for the show it is the right choice which does not feel like it was adequately built up to).
I think in order to make this ending even begin to work they would need to have used every episode to build up to it and too many episodes were used for other things and that pushes me to think they were told it was the last season too late to not do those episodes.

Yeah, it's like it's something that could have, in theory, been decent if you built the entire season around it, or if plan A didn't work so hot. (how about the fact they could have literally raised Solarious up from the dead to stop the army if they wanted to, and that could have served for a great actual story bit with Mina.)
But instead we got End of Evangelion'd and everything just went tumbling down.
RIP to the character assassination of both Moon and my precious crystal boy Rhombulus
