More behind schedule than usual, I was away all weekend for J-PopCon. But let’s get too it!
As usual I’ve kept spoilers for upcoming episodes at a minimum, although been contacted by people insisting I would be liking this one even before it officially aired. All I know is it’ll be containing the Fowl Four for some enemy bonding.

Oh Cozy, you and your ability to be such an annoying little sh*t and being too adorable while doing it.
Also, first time we legally see Tirek working out for muscle gain instead of just magic absorption. It works for him tho. He has chosen the Path of the Swole ever since he kissed his own muscles at the season start, after all.
Gotta say, I like how Cozy Glow doesn’t blink once at the oddity of Chrysalis talking to herself aka a piece of wood (Mean Six callback!). Either they have just been stuck in Grogar’s lair together long enough to get used to Bug Horse’s mental breakdown, or Cozy just goes that easily with the flow the master manipulator she is.
Chrysalis consumes physical food, I guess, and likes sweets. Huh.
And he just spits it out on the cupcake XDD Oh gosh, not even subtle about it yet still tries to deny it.
Okay, so she’s openly carrying her support log, guess they really are all just used to her quirks from being separated from her swarm.
Oh no, is a song coming up??
She came at dat booty.
Not the easiest song to sing along with, not the best villain song of the show, not too catchy... but oh GOSH it’s entertaining! And oh so fitting all of them, and the whole concept of their team’s whole existence.
Gotta say I still adore whenever Grogar shows just tiny fractions of his full power, just to remind the other villains who is in charge and to rein in their own egos.
Wonder if Cozy Glow throwing her map with doodles of herself and the others will be a plot convenience later.

Oh gosh, this lonely coot up a mountain not visited by other ponies there and who knows how often he leaves his post, got the Friendship journal XD Still, fun to see her manipulative tactics ain’t good when rushed nor when underestimating her target.
Bug Horse on ice.

What the heck IS Tirek doing at this point?
Leaves child to fall screaming to her doom in a giant snowball with an “Eh.”
Oh gosh, he was setting camp this whole time.
Smart horse man that Tirek, huh. Also, I’m amused by watching his use of that recliner.
Chrysalis used Charm. It’s Super Effective.

Ya’ll know Twilight would have a list like that somewhere too.
Really do enjoy watching Chrysalis do all those handy transformations through all this, to remind us changelings are indeed this resourceful. Also quite surprised of Tirek being able to crawl the rope like that with his anatomy and weight...
Love Chrysalis only needs to gesture at Cozy to make her point, not even having to go “duuh!”
Oh gosh, I knew at least one of them would comment it would be worth the failure to lose Cozy XD
Gotta love how they manage to both show Tirek as a power hungry brute in love with his own biceps, as well as a smart thinker appreciating smart tactics too in this episode.

... yes, openly plot your sudden but inevitable betrayal, against the goat you know likes to watch and lurk about through his magic eyeball orb and probably watching you right now because he openly admits he doesn’t trust any of you.
okay, yeah, I doubt that’s an effective hiding place... I also doubt Grogar would somehow overlook this expected betrayal with his mentioned hobby of watching everything unfold. But he’s also far too direct for just playing along for some long con like this.
Ending leaves me feeling mixed, but overall I ADORE this episode. So fun and silly, the villain sitcom we have all been waiting for! We KNOW they gotta learn to work together and Cozy will be pushing for that, as well as know the show is making a point to prove they REALLY don’t like each other still. Details rarely showed with villain teamups. Either they are super effective right off the bat or just born to fail at first try. Here we see the actual work put into making a villain teamup like this to work while still flawed with the backstabbing at ready at all times.
Also I need a fanfic of that cheesy moment ending with Chrysalis spontaneously reform into rainbow cuddlebug and how that could possibly go for everyone XD
Good episode, would definitely watch again at other occasions. Very entertaining.
