For example. They touch upon these Four Maidens which hold the last remnants of magic in Remnant (No pun intended), alongside a wizard who gave them the abilities over the four seasons. Their power is passed down by either the last young woman in their thoughts or at random if the previous example doesn't apply.
I have seen too many people give male OCs their power, all with the excuse of 'Oh its an AU, so it can happen', bull[BEEP], unless you give a concrete reason for the abilities a lot of people will serious gripe on it, myself included as I hate lazy plot devices. Of course, you're one to avoid such things, but I thought I let you know just encase.
