    I Have S*** Followers

So, I recently came to have that sweet 69 followers, and I am not above making the joke. Yay, hopefully, my future works will be seen by more people. I want to thank all of you who were foolish enough to click that follow button for the guy that barely writes. Hopefully I dont disappoint you all too badly.

    I Was Wrong

So, for anyone that read my blog a while back pertaining to not saying things, I have to admit, I was wrong. I recently was reviewing a story and there was just a large amount of 'X said' and its derivatives, but for the most part, had solid writing. I was about to mark it down for this when I decided to thumb through a few books I have and see if this was common practice. To my surprise, of the

    Darkness done right

Hey, do you think I'm a wellspring of good advice? Do you think I have a clue about anything I talk about? Well time to burst that bubble and tell you all I am either talking out my ass half the time or repeating shit I learned from someone else.

    So, dark stories.

How I write and what you can learn

Now, something I have been told time and time again is; “Just write. No matter how bad it is you are still writing and you can always go back and unfuck the disaster.” Now I understand where people are coming from, and I know they mean well, but let me beat something into the skulls of all the authors that keep giving this advice.

    It’s not for me.

Weird Promotion Thing: Stories I'm Editing; April 2019 · 5:29am Apr 1st, 2019

Hey, to those that don't know, I edit stories. I know, big shock. It's not like I have an entire list of all the stories I'm currently editing at the top of my user page and a list of all the stories I have edited in a bookshelf. So I came up with an idea, every month, at the start of the month, I will post a list of the stories I am editing and what I think about them, ie. why you should read them. So here is the first round of stories and reasons you should care.

The Dragon And The Pony 2 The Adventure of Parenthood by Azure Drache
Here is a shock to literally no one that has been following me and my goings on for the last four months, Azure and I are *tentatively* best friends. He was the first person I edited for, and since me and him have such similar personalities, we more or less have an unwritten agreement that as long as he is on the site, that one of his stories will be occupying position one of my proofreading queue. This is the sequel to the first story I edited for him, and not the best place to start if you want to understand what the story is about. The premise is that a dragon knocked up a pony and the two of them are now {living together/dating/mating/married/fucking/parenting (please circle all that apply)} in terms of why you should read it; if you read The Dragon And The Pony and like me, would have prefered to see less action and more interpersonal development, this is the story for you. The characters are interesting and the main focus of the story. They play well off each other and the dynamics feel natural (for the world that's being established). [I would also like to tell you all that Azure and I are working on a cool little thing for the story that I think you will all enjoy]

Fallout Equestria: Hellbound Express by TimberLine
Probably one of the older members on the site, Timberline actually works for a living. While yes, I know, Azure also works, aber er lebt und arbeitet in Deutschland, so he gets six weeks of vacation, and Timberline does heavy haul truck driving for 50-70 hours a week here in the states. I'll let you decide who has it better. Here's an interesting take on the FOE universe, trains. I have to admit, I have never read FOE. I know, I know, heresy. I have been meaning to get around to it but haven't found the time yet. But one thing I can say with some confidence is that FOE doesn't have very much in regards to fics involving one of the most prominent aspects of Equestria, its rail system. I'm a big fan of Fallout and love exploring the wasteland learning how each settlement came to be and their history, and this story delivers. one of the best aspects of the story is that it is told from multiple perspectives and never degenerates into 'this person is the douche-master general' and for the most part makes every immoral character or action somewhat reasonable. I also probably learned far more about trains and related subjects through editing this fic than through most other things. If you like a well written, morally grey, character study of a fic, this one should be right up your alley.

Apex Is Coming by LastSaint
As just about everyone that; I have edited for, has edited for me, has read A Timberwolf For Forrester, or has read one of the reviews I have done, can attest, I LOVE and can't get enough realism. For me at least, as far as I was concerned, I was the only one on this site that took such things into consideration when writing/reading a story. So imagine my shock when I put a comment in the document I was editing saying "Hey, this is good, if a little unrealistic. If you want to make it realistic just let me know" and I got a response from the author telling me to make it realistic. LastSaint made my next few days as I spent the next three or so days going over the document, looking for logical errors and unrealistic happenings, I even learned a few things when researching things to find out their accuracy and realism. In terms of a story, this is so far a basic HiE, but don't let that dissuade you, it only has two chapters so far and unlike a great many HiEs, the main character is not; overpowered, angst driven, able to get all the girls, a brony, in short, he is not a wish-fulfillment Gary Stue, and is, dare I say, human.

Secret History by sniper567
Interestingly enough, sniper567 in the only person on this list that I don't have a personal relationship with/know about their personal lives. But they did recommend me on the proofreader's group, so that was cool. In terms of a story, this one does have a little bit of a rough start if any use of a mary sue turns you off immediately. While this isn't my thing, this is only in the first chapter and the story from that point is really good. It is a sort of anthology with the premise of telling the tails of unknown aspects of Equestria's history. I actually like a story where the author takes their own ideas and incorporates those into the story rather than use established canon and all of its stupid decisions (Discord's and the changeling's reformation being the worst).

What, really? I was figuring that you were in your forties or fifties based on the blogs you've been putting out. Damn, that means you are actually younger than Azure.
