Equestria Girls Spring Breakdown commentary, SPOILERS!

These teenage girls are doing a better job at taking charge and organizing things than the actual crew...
Twilight's lucky she lives in a world something stays muddy only as long as it's relevant to the plot.
Rainbow, just Pony-Up, and try to fly out of the quick sand!
Rainbow, I know you have a new body type and size, but you've flown plenty of times.
While it is a nice apology by the show's crew, it is weird that Pony-Up'ed Sci-Twi has wings while she doesn't when entering Equestria.

It seems the intensity of the situation has made AJ power on through her sea sickness.
While I despise that they put in the selling point of this special friggin' way at the end... At least they didn't stick them in a convenient nowhere to prevent any contamination ... but I still don't get why they insist on the 'never saw the two selves meet' rule. This isn't Doctor Who!
So doesn't Sunset know about Equestria RD?
And you think Sunset would know ponies would recognize Twilight, with or without wings and glasses.
And I find myself wondering again if Pony Twilight wears contacts!

... OKay, that's a plausible enough conclusion that I'm willing to let it slide rather than "Sunset from human world banished to Equestria years ago" or something.

I guess the 'if we didn't see it on screen it didn't happen' is in full effect, when you THINK Princess Twilight would have stuck around to explain things!

That... would have actually been interesting to see! That Dragons for instance HAVE weddings, and don't just mate, lay the eggs, raise them till molting and go their separate ways.

Pinkie Pie is a living library of people... if she saw someone she REALLY didn't recognize in Ponyville she'd break out the 'WELCOME! WELCOME!' wagon on the spot!

Rainbow Dash should be thankful that there's no way in Hell an investigation can blame 'magic' as a reason the ship's engine failed, and double thankful this is a kids' show so nobody drowns... (Not even the petting zoo animals).
It's a pity that it's like Trixie making friends with the others didn't happen in Forgotten Friendships.

And I like the call back to Sci-Twi's line, and her realizing how silly it is NOT to think of themselves as superheroes at this point.

Okay... I know it's 100% plot convenience... And to give the EG!s a chance to shine on their own, but having Princess Twilight NOT come along to help is insane. IN UNIVERSE it makes no sense. Celestia had the excuse of being far away or not knowing about what was happening!

Credit where it's due. Seeing the EG! come together as an organized team was beautiful. And all of them getting a chance to show off the practical use of each of their powers in an emergency was beautiful. And Pinkie Pie knew NOT to blow the chef's leg off with her power.
Why is it goodbye? Do they live in separate countries or something?
Nice send off for the EG! girls at least. Even if I think the visits to the Pony World could have been a much bigger part of things.
You have a lot of good points. The only one I would disagree with is bringing Princess Twilight back. She doesn't have a geode, she can't actually do magic in EQG world unless it's joining in with a group to shoot a rainbow laser at something. She'd be another body that needs a lifejacket, not much help in evacuating a ship.
Really enjoyed the Special even with its flaws.
I didn't really care for Ragamuffin. I found his voice grating. I think any other thoughts I had are covered on the blog I made for the special.
She does. It looks like she was just startled to be so close.
People often tend to look at certain distinguishing features of a person, rather than the person. Example: I know this kid who had a fro. When he cut it, no one recognized him. As for glasses, some people look different with/out them.
I wear glasses and even I don't recognize myself when I take them off.
I think maybe Pinkie was saying this as a joke. Twilight may have filled her in on what was happening. Since Pinkie aleady knew of the alternate world, this would be no big surprise. Probaly hence this is why it was Pinkie making the delivery as opposed to Mr. Cake.
I just realized we have Jason Michas as part of the cast. Will we see Takua and Jaller?

5035425 That's what I meant by Big Harmony Laser Blasts. Twilight can form a team of people and then blast a monster with harmony, but she can't levitate things like Sci Twi can in EQG world, the girls are only able to do stuff other than shoot harmony blasts because they have magic geodes.

5035449 I don't think so. Sunset has been part of those harmony laser blasts from Rainbow Rocks on (well technically she's been part of the first one too, if "target" counts). But we never see her do any magic, except the specific empathy power she gets from her geode. I think "Firing the harmony blast" is considered its own special type of magic that's separate from other types.

We never saw Sunset use verbal Sonic waves, we saw Twilight use them.
