In a previous blog, I started reading Delta Vee's Junkyard a couple nights ago, and was immediately captivated by it. It's unfortunate that the updates are so far apart.
I was eager to discuss the latest page from a month ago, but it seems that the discussion locked after a 409-comment chain on Derpi, one of only 45 images that have had their comments locked down.
Because at first, you get the impression that Delta is a deadbeat mom, but with this latest page, the tables seem to turn, and yet readers are taking both sides, and right now, I've chosen one.
There is very, very little redeeming about Jet Steam at the moment.
My viewpoint can and very well may change in the next page when we get any new revelation, but right now, I have much more sympathy for Delta than I had at the comic's start. I can't see the two of them reconciling. I can't see what Jet could do to make up for what he did.
Even if Delta warms up to her daughter, unfortunately for Apogee, I can't see a realistic outcome other than two parents that love her, but aren't destined to be together. It sucks, but that's real life sometimes, and probably why I find this story so captivating.

Agreed, purposeful impreganation without consent doesn’t count as rape, but I still hold the act in about the same contempt. I see that he loves Apogee, but he still used her before birth the achieve his means. I’m wondering how he would treat her if she took some radical course in life that adversely affected Jet Stream’s aspirations.
I’m wondering why Jet Stream felt the need to come clean to Delta. I can’t imagine an incentive other than his own conscience. Unless we’re going to get a reveal that he told some other friend or family, who then passed it on. One of those two scenarios paints Jet Stream as somewhat decency.

I'm wondering if Apogee is going to get wind, or even understand, what he did.
His obsession with his rocket project twisted his love for Delta into possession.
