End of February Blog Post

Though it's been a rather low key month, there are a couple of big movie reviews (HTYD3 and The Lego Movie 2) and for others, it's the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 and the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Then the biggest news has come along: This year marks the end of MLP: Friendship is Magic. I'm guessing you all want to know how I feel about this. Truth be told, I only came along halfway in the journey (2014, at the end of Season 4 - beginning of Season 5), and gradually I reverted to my roots. I was more saddened when Transformers Prime and the 2012 Ninja Turtles Series reached their end.

But, there's the burning question; why should I always be sad? TMNT and Transformers came back with new shows in around a year or so, and Generation 5 of MLP is coming back in 2021, or so I'm told. Perhaps it's the fact that G4 MLP has garnered attention from the male audience especially is why the show is ending would have a big impact (several people are treating this like the end of the world already).

I wouldn't have any doubt that Equestria Girls would continue; Transformers Rescue Bots is the only Transformers Series to continue on after it's sister series like Prime and Robots in Disguise have canceled after all.

But now, what does this have to do with this website, whose very foundation is on this very show? Considering he's done a very hefty amount of work on this site, I'm going on a limb and say that Knighty probably will make this a Gen-Fic site. No need to toss this aside after a good eight years.

But what about me? Would "Equestria Girls: King of the Monsters" still be my Swan Song? Yes. Yes, it is. Even if the website becomes a Gen-Fic one, there are still the few users that have made this website so toxic that even asking for help is gonna get you shot down.

Besides, I'm actually having a better time working on my soft reboot. And it's actually a lot faster writing comic books than it is writing novels since I want to show those of you who couldn't understand what I was telling. I've already got seven issues being written down and can't wait to adapt the other stories of my canon in comic form.

More on that later on; with the road to 2021 being a long one, I might make quite a progress, maybe even blend whatever Generation 5 comes with to this soft reboot.
