Some life updates · 8:29pm Feb 27th, 2019
Well damn, my last blog post was January 1st. Time really flies.
So I'll keep it short.
Basically, I got laid off from my job that was closer to home, but it turns out that brand of stores is closing completely by October and so they brought me back today (background check never came back while I was there so I didn't get to work at all, and so I'm only getting paid for the one hour of paperwork I did and not the remaining three hours I had to sit there because I'm not allowed to do anything until that comes back).
I also went to Alabama this past weekend. Left Thursday, spent the night in Nashville, had a hell of a time because me and my friend were informed we would turn around and go back home due to severe weather in the south, but ended up continuing anyways. Spent Friday and Saturday down there, then drove straight through back home where I spent the night at my friend's and returned home the next day.
I'm going to start seeing my father for the first time in three years starting next week because he's offering me a car and suddenly wants to be back in my life. I'm really hesitant and anxious about it but I'm kind of being forced into it, so there's jack shit I can do about it.
Next month I will be flying to North Carolina for a week, as I found out while I was on my way to Alabama.
In April I will be returning to my job at the zoo to have something to fall on when the store I currently work for finally closes (they say October, but my grandma who also works there says May or June).
In July I will be flying to Minnesota again to see family and go to an airshow.
In October I still plan on joining the Navy, however I've decided that I will start out in the Reserves, and potentially reenlist as active duty either before or after my contract is up, depending on how things go. I've been told it's very hard to change statuses in the middle of a contract, but we'll see.
All in all, I've been really busy lately and will continue to be busy from here on out. Thankfully not too busy where I can't get some writing done, and at some point in March I plan to complete A Sailor's Notes, as there is only one chapter left and it is well over the 3k word mark already.
