From newbie to 290 in two weeks. · 2:34pm Feb 13th, 2019
Brady played this game religiously back when it launched in 2016, and as someone who came to know the Tom Clancy name from games like Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, and Rainbow Six, The Division just didn't make sense to me for the longest time.
Then, as I heard more and more about the upcoming sequel, I dove in, snagging a PS4 copy for $9 and all DLC for $13. It took me three separate runs through the prologue to finally start to get it (that gear is absolutely everything between life and death in this game).
As a fan of urban exploration, the Underground DLC makes me drool. Haven't gotten to Survival yet. I'd like to thank the three experienced farmers that somehow kept me alive through 20 waves of Pier 93.
So suffice to say, I've gotten my money's worth, I'm not done yet (plenty more subway tunnels to explore!), and I'm on the verge of pre-ordering the second one.
Most astoundingly, this game has managed to keep me away from Claire's half of RE2 for the past two weeks. That is no small feat. With the ability to tweak (or completely change) your character build on the fly, this is probably some of the most satisfying gearing and endgame experiences I've had in an RPG.
I should really get back to playing it. And here's the thing, Tom Clancy is now a brand, so basically, even if a book or game has his name on it, there's a chance he didn't even write it or have much involvement in jt
