My Pet Nightshine · 4:43am Feb 4th, 2019
As I was walking home one day, I saw a box with several holes punched in the top, seemingly tossed on the sidewalk.
Normally, I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but when I heard something moving around in there, I just had to take a look.
"Sweet Lord," I said, looking at its eyes and features.
I had wanted a pet for so long, but none of them appealed to me.
They were for humans, but I was one in five-hundred-million, a vampire.
"Look at you," I said.
"You mean, you're not scared of me?" he said.
"No," I replied, showing him my fangs and picking him up, "Who'd throw such a cute little pony out on the streets like this?"
"A human who hates vampires, ponies, or both."
"I bet you're thirsty, aren't you?"
"Yes."
"Well," I replied, setting him down and pulling a bottle of blood from my bag, "I was saving this for me, but you need it more," I gave it to him, "What's your name?"
"I don't have one," he said, drinking the remainder of what was in the bottle.
"You don't- You look like a Nightshine."
"Who are you?"
"Seth."
"So, I get to live with you?"
"A vampire needs a vampire pet," I replied, picking him back up and carrying him to my house.
In Seth's house, there was an uneasy air.
"So, you like the color blue?"
"How could you tell," I replied, setting him down on the couch.
"Well, your hair is blue, your glasses are dyed blue, you're wearing blue and black clothes, and everything here has something blue about it."
"Most thestrals are colorblind. I guess I got lucky."
"You know, I'm hungry."
"I'll fix that for the both of us. You just sit and watch some TV."
I'm considering writing something along the lines of this if I can ever figure out a real plot for the story.
Awesome
Thanks! I played around with my thoughts, went back to Friendship is Monsters, and decided to change a few things so the characters aren't mostly human.
That would be boring, right?
