Onto the Next Year, Tally-ho! [IRL Updates] · 4:27am Jan 1st, 2019
Happy New Year, first and foremost. A couple of things I'd like to get out of the way.
First off, I have a microphone again—meaning, I can do Let's Plays again, or something else requiring my meh vocalizations once I get Camtasia difficulties out of the way (I have to reconfigure it to my current rig, oi.) Furthermore, I have cleared a lot of disk space off of my harddrives (copies of Windows on my old terabyte, and of Steam since that was just redundant and then some), so I can do more.
On top of all that, however, I have learned how to live stream with OBS Studio. Which is important; I am considering doing story commissions and art livestreams, but I do not have a definitive date on when to start down to pat yet. That's on hold anyway; I'm gonna be restarting my job hunt next week, as this week'll be a crush come Thursday—madness I want no part of. In short, I am going to be further mastering the oh-so-fun art of time management.
The van still needs... repairs before it can be driver-safe, however, and that will put a damper on things. I'll need to have that worked out sometime soon-ish, and have a discussion with the folks about said livestreaming so as to minimize potential AFK-ing.
Thus, fanfic-writing will slow down, which is odd since I updated Arcane today and gave Broken Star a whole friggin' string of chapters before then. And an art binge before all of that. It will not halt entirely, though—just be on some easing up is all. I am expected to file five weekly applications now, and I'm still itching for at least part-time minimum wage in an area close to home.
As for resolutions? I don't really do New Year's resolutions; haven't done them once in my life, in fact. It's just one of those things I kinda skimped out on.
And with that, update has concluded. For now, let us celebrate 2019 in the only way we know how.
