    Finished Finale

Well, it’s certainly been a long and fun ride, writing this. About one million words in the series, depending on how you count the side stories and whatnot. More than I ever thought I’d write, and I’m pretty sure I said something similar around the 300k mark, too.

    Errant Finale extra scenes

So, Errant Finale (and all of the Alternate Verse, for that matter) has a pretty big plot arc focusing around reproduction of the alicorns. Too important to not include in the main story, but quickly veering right up to the line of what constitutes a 'teen' story versus a 'mature' one.

Character Descriptions · 3:52pm Nov 30th, 2018

A glossary / character reference guide for the main differences between Canon (the show) and Continuity Disrupted. Mostly references things that happened in Alternate Beginnings; beware of spoilers!

DOUG: Doug Graves Apple; Human male, Ponyville. Shows up in Equestria seven years before Twilight arrives in Ponyville, at the beginning of Alternate Beginnings. Works with Applejack at the farm and as the weather scheduler of most of Equestria under the pen name Cold Digger. Primarily lives at the CARROT HOUSE. Starts HERD APPLE with APPLEJACK. Sire (father) of the herd's eight FILLIES, a quality originally unbeknownst to the ponies that lead to the joining of RARITY and RAINBOW DASH. This quality also sparked the interest of Princess Celestia and Princess Cadance, leading to potentially fruitful research on alicorn reproduction (previously unattainable due to disharmony between alicorn and non-alicorn magic).

HERD APPLE: Herding is the main family unit in Equestria, due to the 4:1 ratio of mares to stallions. Doug is the 'stallion' of the herd with Applejack as the lead mare. Rarity and Rainbow joined shortly after an ill-fated attempt to quench their heats. FLUTTERSHY joined later in the year, PINKIE PIE the year after. Potentially looking for a sixth mare.

APPLEJACK: Lead mare of Herd Apple. Dam (mother) of APPLE BLOOM, APPLEBAUM, and POMARBO. Works at SWEET APPLE ACRES with Big Mac, Granny Smith, and Doug. Worried about which of the foals will continue working on the farm, as they all struggle from magical deficiencies due to their mixed (human) heritage.

RARITY: Second mare of Herd Apple. Dam of SWEETIE BELLE. Works and lives at the Carousel Boutique. Occasionally takes trips to the Ghastly Gorge to search for gems, or makes deals with the DIAMOND DOGS in the area.

RAINBOW DASH: Third mare of Herd Apple. Dam of SCOOTALOO. Works as the head weathermare of Ponyville, still aspiring to become a Wonderbolt! Was temporarily rejected from the elite flying squad due to her pregnancy, her later application delayed due to a dark magic operation with Sunset Shimmer backfiring.

FLUTTERSHY: Fourth mare of Herd Apple. Dam of HEDGE. Lives at her cottage on the southern end of Ponyville, near the Everfree Forest.

PINKIE PIE: Fifth mare of Herd Apple. Dam of LEMON and MERINGUE. Works and lives at Sugarcube Corner.

FILLIES: Seven fillies and one colt, sired by Doug with the mares of the herd. Most of the fillies in the herd live at the Carrot House, while Apple Bloom sleeps at the main farmhouse and Sweetie Belle at the Carousel Boutique. Each suffers from low thaumic ability (magic power) due to their mixed heritage, but do not have any of the deficiencies normally associated with such a condition. They stay optimistic about it, and believe the condition will not pass further.

APPLE BLOOM: Applejack's first filly. Olive coat, red mane. No cutie mark.

SWEETIE BELLE: Rarity's only filly. White coat, pink and purple mane. No cutie mark. Difficulty with telekinesis and cooking while using magic.

SCOOTALOO: Rainbow Dash's only filly. Orange coat, purple mane. No cutie mark. Slightly more magic from Sunset Shimmer's dark magic experiment. The partial success gives her very limited gliding ability.

APPLEBAUM Applejack's second filly. Brown coat, green mane with two red streaks. Cutie mark of an apple exploding.

LEMON: Pinkie Pie's first filly. Pale yellow coat, bright yellow mane with cream streaks. No cutie mark.

HEDGE: Fluttershy's only filly. Light tan body, brown mane. No cutie mark. Limited hovering ability.

POMARBO: Applejack's third, colt. Brown coat, auburn mane with two green streaks. No cutie mark.

MERINGUE: Pinkie Pie's second filly. Bright yellow coat, cream mane with pale yellow streaks. No cutie mark.

CARROT HOUSE: The carrot-topped building often seen in the background of the main Apple farmhouse. Built as a combination house for the herd and storage building for Carrot Top. Houses Doug's combination bedroom and office, Scootaloo's room, Applebaum and Lemon's room, Hedge and Meringue's room, and Pomarbo's room. Spare bedroom for Sweetie Belle or visitors. The rest of the building is rented to Carrot Top for storage of the carrots that grow nearby.

RICH HERD: Filthy Rich is the stallion, with Spoiled Rich as lead mare, dam of Diamond Tiara. Silver Set is the second mare, dam of Silver Spoon and the twins Silver Hoop and Silver Stud.

DIAMOND DOGS: Live between Ponyville and Ghastly Gorge, near the forest among some of the richer gemstone veins. Includes Shavronne (Shav), Kole, Brutus, and their pups. Among them are Rover, Fido, and Spot, sired by Doug.

Feel free to ask any other questions about the setting or characters. Shameless plug: better yet, read the prequels! Again, though I might not respond to every reaction, I love reading them!

Sire (father) of the herd's eight FILLIES

Just a heads up but Doug has seven filly’s not eight. He has one colt though.

True, and it says that in the FILLIES section lower; I feel like the ponies are a bit matriarchal, kind of if you used the word 'guys' to refer to a group of both men and women. I use the all caps to show further glossary terms. It'd get kind of cluttered it I repeated each point everywhere.

...Has this been updated to account for the (amazing) rewrite of Year One?
I don't imagine much has changed, but still.

Doesn't look like much has changed.
