Part 3: Sunday (before Closing Ceremonies)
Woke up, checked out of the Hilton and had breakfast at Starbucks again. Only two of the six elevators worked. We had to go all the way to the top floor then back down again because the elevators going down were so crowded. It was a rush to check out and get to the last day of the con I guess. Starbucks’ line was longer than ever. I didn’t attend any panels on Sunday, which I kind of regret. Instead, I went to Quills and Sofas, a room meant for writers. They had manual typewriters and I luckily got to use one. It was so fun! I just typed up whatever random ideas came to my head. Whether these ideas will be made into stories or not I don’t know yet. My writer’s block has been terrible these past couple months.
After that, the person from Discord I mentioned in the previous blog entry messaged me and asked if I wanted to hang out and this time I actually did. We played a little bit of Twilight Sparkle’s Secret Shipfic Folder with some other people he knew. It was my first time playing it and I did pretty terrible at it. We walked to the vendor hall together and then parted ways. At the vendor hall I bought a Big Mac Best Pony tag in honor of Peter New and then left to go have lunch.
I went to Jimmy John’s one last time and had my usual #13. After that, I returned to the vendor hall around 3 and bought a 2019 superhero pony-themed calendar, the proceeds of which went to a charity fighting against cancer. I got a pin for donating, which I stuck on my lanyard. The pin gave me a discount in the vendor hall. I really wanted to use it, but I couldn’t decide on anything. After I left the vendor hall, I went to Quills and Sofas again, but it was pretty full, so instead I just walked around and checked Discord until it was time to get in line for the closing ceremonies.
I’m going to end this entry here since I want Closing Ceremonies to be its own entry. I went to Ciderfest this year too and I will be making blog entries about it after I finish my Bronycon 2018 reflections.
