2023 Writing Vent

Well, 2023 is almost over and the only thing I published this year was a revised version of "Cadance's Experimental Therapy" (the revised edition is basically same plot but with a totally different ending, which I prefer over the original). I had a lot of writer's block the first half of the year and while I did start writing again during the second half, I have no new stories published as you can see. I have been having confidence issues again, kind of like how I did after "Soarin's Urinal" chapter 2 came out. It's that familiar feeling of feeling like I'm just a mediocre writer who should just give up combined with a sense of shame for writing the content that I do. Related to that is the feeling that I don't fit in with other authors because of the content that I write. It's why I get too nervous to go to the author's meetups at PVCF (though I did try to go to the meetup at this year's PVCF, but it didn't work out). I have one story saved as a draft here that I'm gonna try and work on tonight. Maybe I'll release it, maybe I won't. It contains a kink that usually gets tons of downvotes, so I'm kinda scared to release it. I'm no stranger to getting a ton of downvotes, but having never written something with this kink before makes me nervous in a way that writing my main kink doesn't make me anymore.
