Patreon or Paypal? What is the answer?

Okay so this is something that has been bugging me for a while now. This hobby of mine to write is one that I love to do but recently I have been having far too little time to properly work on it, with my economy being rather strained. Thus have I begun to actually consider asking support to let me keep doing it.

So I have decided to either use Patreon or Paypal to seek aid from others to support my hobby.

Now I have actually no idea how this works. All I know is that Patreon is a way to ask Monetary Support for a Service, while Paypal is a way to ask for Donations. I myself support one Patreon person that works on a game I have enjoyed a lot.

But for me to ask others for money to support my hobby to be able to write is something new to me. I am quite uncertain on what I can or should do.

So I am going to ask you all.

What do you think I should do? Should it be Patreon or Paypal? How would I go about doing it? And how would I go about rewarding those supporting me on Patreon, should I come to utilize it?
