    FIMFiction Review #9

Hello everybody! I'm back and with a review of a story that was hilarious in its execution, even for an old story by this author. So, without further adieu, we shall jump straight into it!

    July 1st 2020 - Update

Well, well, well. Here I am! Sorry about the gap in blog posts (again). Been on more of a mental self-care. What with the world basically crumbling around us day by day. So you know, that's been what is keeping me so busy. That and trying to find a job, too. The good news is... my mental health has finally stabilized (for now). Found out what was causing my issues which was just one big well of

The True Nightmare ~ Replication - Repost

As promised I have set Replication for a repost. Auto-approval this time so it doesn't take all day. But regardless, I know I haven't made it much further than the previous chapter length, but, oddly enough, reposting it again has... oddly peaked a small little fire once more. Honestly I feel like I could return to this story very soon. And that's not just to sound like I'm puffing air out my

The Long Awaited Update + Info on the Current Situation

So! Just as I was feeling up to put up a blog, it seems like the world decided to lose its collective shit at the last possible moment. But as for how I'm doing? This'll be a short blog but I'll get the writing stuff out of the way before the important stuff.

The Very, Very Long and Blustery Hiatus · 6:33pm Oct 29th, 2018

Hey there, peoples! Look who’s finally found his way back! Unfortunately I still do not have my own personal computer yet, as I am using the university’s computers to type this blog out, but at least I can communicate with you guys. So, I believe it’s time for a little information overload.

The Computer Situation

As mentioned I still do not have my own personal computer. I possibly was in reach of one not too long ago but my dad’s credit card was malfunctioning, so that’s a monkey wrench thrown into that hope. I believe the best possible chance I have left is this upcoming Christmas. At least that’s what I gunning for. With my funds still not entirely great I can’t really buy my own just yet.

But with no other choice but the university computers, this will have to be the only way I can function as of the current moment.

Minor Stories

I have been writing just a little with my spare time. But that little bit of free time I have is somewhat limited. Of course with the classes I have there’s a lot of reading to do (currently that being two stories: one is Frankenstein and an upcoming one will be Heart of Darkness). But I did just finish the third scene of this upcoming short story. So hey! Progress is slow but making its way forward.

Said third scene was the Zebra story I’ve been working on for a long while. So that’s getting close to its final moments. Just two more scenes (or more depending on the effort that will be required for it) and I should be done.

The other story is just a fun little project of mine. More like a story I’ll be working with on and off, but more meant to be just a fun side project. It’ll still be a serious one due to its content but one I can come back to every now and then. I’ll say now that a key word for it is a “Tournament” setting. And leave you to imagine what it’s going to entail.

The True Nightmare: Revision

I did finish two scenes for the… tenth chapter, I believe, so there’s just one last scene that needs to be done before I can ultimately call it complete. This I’ll make a main focus of my writing here sooner or later, but with my current schedule, that may take a small bit of time.

The True Nightmare: Replication

Given the scope of how big this project is, I will be making a return to this story as well. This is still priority number one but at the meantime, I have to kind of put it in the closet. Just for a little bit while I get my bearings for the next half of my school semester. The first scene for the fifth chapter is done with and the second scene has a small third of its beginning sequence completed. Once I get that all figured out and the chapter finished I’ll move onto the next one.

Other Stories

Quite a few stories may have to be put on the backburner for now, unfortunately. Twinkling Gem’s sequel is a byproduct of this. In fact, I don’t know if that sequel may be coming since it’s been so long since I started it. While it’s still got a bit of it planned out, this story will have to take its rest. Whether I bring it back to life is still a bit of a mystery. Just don’t expect it for a while.

My Kingdom Hearts Crossover is also another unfortunate victim of the circumstances I am in, so it too has to take a backseat to the rest of my in development stories. Plus the other many ideas I have… which may or may not see the light of day. But I digress, this must be set for now so I can come back to them later. Whether that happens or not is ultimately up to me and whether or not my desire to work on them is strong or not.

Don’t get me wrong. I love to write. But I think at this point some of them may have to be discarded either for a small time period or completely erased from existence. An unfortunate matter but it has to be done.

Conclusion

All in all, I feel good to have some access to a computer. But with school still in full swing and my workload an ever present nuisance, my time has to be spent where it’ll be most important. Especially in the land of storytelling. But do not fret. This is not the end of any story (yet) so hopefully a miracle will eventually happen. I am glad to be back though. And I hope I haven’t been gone for too long.

I shall see you all some other time. Catch ya’ later!

Take all the time you need.
I look forward for more of "The True Nightmare: Replication".
I am curious about "Heart of Darkness" and that "Tournament" setting. I just wish to know more about these (synopsis, main characters) before starting to let my hope rise.

Good luck, I'm stuck in the same situation, my classmates act up in class and I have a small project to do over the weekend, so I hope we can both get through this.
