Regarding Blank Slate

Hello!

I feel the need to say something about Blank Slate. Looking back on it now, I realize now why it has been so hard for me to write more for it.

I used the same method of writing for a book I made, from my point of view now it is overly dramatic, too dark, and everything that the Main character went through would actually make someone way less forgiving or trusting. I made a literal punching bag that keeps on going. And based on how the response to my writing improved when I changed my style and hit something that is lighter to everyone (thanks everyone that gave me feedback by the way), I dare say that I started to get better, even if it is just a little.

Another problem is the character, I made him based off nothing and tried to give him shape as time moved on. But holy shit did that went weird. The race I used was also based off my idiotic book, I need to fix the race into something balanced and get rid of all the exceptions I made for the main character in that book. Aza is somewhat off the character I thought that could rise as the story went by.

So, here is what I'll do for it. The story is going for a hiatus and I'll re-do it from scratch by getting rid of the chapters one by one once I'm done re-writing them, maybe even change them the title. I'll re-use some of the ideas while fixing both my poor excuse for a book and my first shot at writing a fanfic.

I didn't want to do this, but I'm also frustrated as heck since every time I sit down to work on this I simply start to write very shitty content that does not satisfy me. I want to write something I enjoy doing and that comes out as I imagined. Not something that makes me write something that makes me feel bad since it isn't well executed.

Also, since that will take time and I need to take a small break from writing Eyes to the heart (don't worry this one is well underway, just waiting for the editing touches so I can send it to you guys). I'll be working on another idea I had a few days ago and have already discussed it with Metordragon, just hope you guys like it.
