I realize I sorta haven’t posted anything here in a while. Let’s fix that! Here are some cards I’ve designed that may or may not appear in the future.
————————
Once-Queen Chrysalis 4BB
Legendary Creature — Insect Horse Shapeshifter
Flying; menace; changeling (This card is every creature type.)
4U, T: Create a token that's a copy of target creature an opponent controls, except it has “1G, T: This creature fights another target creature with the same name as this creature.”
Her army deserted, her authority shattered, and her dignity in tatters, Chrysalis still looked in the mirror and saw only perfection.

————————
Verko, Crimelord of Klugetown 3BB
Legendary Creature — Rat Rogue
Assassins, Mercenaries, and other Rogues you control get +1/+1 and have menace.
Whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to a player, that player discards a card.
Every crook, thug, and scoundrel south of Equestria answers to him.

————————
Lord Tirek the Devourer 3UBR
Legendary Creature — Demon Centaur
Menace
Whenever Lord Tirek the Devourer attacks, you may put a drain counter on another target creature. For as long as it has a drain counter on it, it loses all abilities and has base power and toughness 1/1.
Lord Tirek gets +1/+1 for each creature with a drain counter on it.
When Lord Tirek leaves the battlefield, remove all drain counters from all creatures.

————————
The Storm King 2GUR
Legendary Creature — Yeti Shaman
Flash
You may cast creature spells as though they had flash.
Whenever you cast a creature spell, The Storm King deals X damage to target player, where X is 1 plus the number of creature spells cast before it this turn.
Few can distinguish his armies from the lightning that follows.

Darn it, now I want to see the Storm King as khan of the Temur. His swarm tactics aren't quite the same as the "throw bears, ice, and/or rocks at the problem" approach of the Frontiersman, but I think they'd get along quite well.
Tirek presents an interesting tension. Players can throw their drained creatures under the Bolas-horned bus to keep his size under control, but the menace means they're still taking a loss. As should be the case with Tirek, the best option is to stop him before he snowballs out of control. Great design!
Verko presents an interesting question of taxonomy. Should he be a Mole, a Rat, or both?
Nice work in making Chrysalis a Sultai commander, though it bothers me that a card with changeling has a printed type that won't fit on the line. Also, nice callback to Ertai, the Corrupted. (On that note, Chrysalis, the Deposed might work as an alternate name.)

I was debating whether to put Chrysalis’s type as “Insect Shapeshifter”, but I felt this would fit more, flavorfully.
It’s worth nothing that Magic has shrunk type lines on Legendary creatures when necessary, as seen in Sen Triplets or Neheb, the Eternal.
Chrysalis and Tirek look sweet.
Would the Elements of Harmony be Equipments?
The staff of the Storm King certainly is one, btw. I think he needs one - and an effect like Nazahn that helps him find it.
Pretty amusing to have the Storm King have a "storm" mechanic.
