Have you ever felt like you don't have enough time? Have you ever felt like you're wasting your time anyway? Because I do.
Many times, I want to do something but I can't find the motivation or inspiration, and so I end up watching YouTube videos or something. Plenty of them have historical or educational value in one way or another, some are just entertaining to watch, but it's still wasting time.
I like playing games. At least I did. Now, I don't really get the enjoyment. I still play them because I have that memory of the enjoyment I used to get, but... It still feels like I'm wasting my time.
I exercise. I take long walks. I listen to music, I try making my own, and so on. And yet, nothing seems to help with my time-wasting problem. Sometimes, I just stare at something for some time, thinking about the time being wasted.
Yes, it's pretty stupid. I want to be productive! And yet, it seems that I can't unless something unexpected and unpredictable happens that brings me inspiration.
Do you guys have any advice on how to deal with it? I hate wasting time. I've wasted enough of my life doing things that I don't like, for example, and now I continue to waste time even though I can put it all into things I like.
I don't want to waste time anymore. It's very frustrating, so... If any of you have an advice on how to deal with it, I'll at the very least listen and take it into consideration.
In my opinion, it is not a waste of time if you are having fun.
Elu,
you can build 'friends IRL list' (even from just two!) and ask them if they need anything (may be they at least will {try to} explain something new to you..), or you can just call someone and say 'Do you want to walk with me at XYZ place?'. You can read detailed technological history, or past, long-archived discussions. You can install various retro-OSes into virtual machines. None of this is 'productive' in narrow sense, but I think such lifestyle helped me to expand my views and enjoy sense of discovery ..and this latest pony crazines also probably part of it {I was thinking a lot about non-human civilizations, so naturally sci-fi part of fandom quite successfully attracted me). You can watch and like street (or not yours) dogs, with some sense/sensitivity. They at least tend to be honest about what they feel towards us. I think you can also simply talk with me, eh? (publically or not)
This is basically me on a daily basis, and I'm still waiting for a fucking job that life has been denying me for the past 4 months.

But I'm not really having fun. I try to but... it's kinda boring.

I might try something like that, thanks.

RIP productivity.
Sorry, got no advice for you. I'm stuck in the same feeling, except I don't take long walks. If you find an answer let me know :l

Well, I think my inspiration and such just... returned. No real reason. I did my usual thing. Went to the beach yesterday, but that's it.

Sounds like more evidence to me needing a vacation lol

Eh, it's nothing fancy. I just have a large artificial lake nearby. Yes, in Siberia. Sometimes, it's nice to be on the beach, even though I'm pale and probably shouldn't stay out in the sun for long. But all went well, I swam for a bit, tanned, and then got home.
In my opinion, showers are nicer since you don't swim in a greenish water and get sand in all kind of places. Not that the water here is toxic, far from it, its one of the best water in the whole of Russia, it's just full of small water plants and whatnot.
