How I plan to uncomplicate my life

I've had to reorganize my life quite a bit. I have too many stories and other projects in too many places to update on a regular basis. So I am going to simplify my life.

First, I will no longer be updating on this site. I will still be around and this account will not be deleted.

Alright First. I am still Alive. My attention has just been very distracted
Secondly, I want to shout out to a few friends that I have been Remiss in talking too.

True Edge - I look forward to what you're planning. Whatever it is. But please don't pull a Jaycren and forget others exist. Not my favorite personality trait.

    Lets Try Something New

I am going to try and start something. Basically I am going to start writing my gamer fic over on AO3 on a regular basis. The rules for that are simple. Every chapter I will try to kill the character count before the delete date. However I have to post by the delete date. I also want to continue posting my other stories, both here and on the other sites. I am doing this so that I can speed

Alright, I have finally posted my Gamer fiction over on Ao3. Fair warning, their will be mature content. If you have a problem with any of that, go read something else. Get triggered on some other Author's work snowflake. If however the prospect of mature content does not deter you, then go and read The Players Games Play..

Weird Dream and New Chapter · 9:43am Aug 7th, 2018

I had a weird dream last night. I was in a bar, filled with all the gods and goddesses, monsters and myths of old. My man JC was tending bar, because water to wine and forgiveness of debts am I right? Anyway, I just take my seat when this beautiful woman comes up to me and she is pissed, just fuming. In an instant, I recognize who it is. Approaching me is the personification of the universe herself, who I notoriously don't get along with.

I turn to my bro JC and he just shakes his head and says, "Consequences for actions my son." Which is completely fair, this is me after all.

So she walks up to me and gets right in my face.

"I hear you have been calling me a c#nt! You spec of dust, what the f@ck?"

I glance around the bar and none of the customers are even glancing my way, except for JC, who gives me a supportive smile then inclines his head back to the lady. So I flash my best Irish smile and snark back.
"I shall tell you what, if you can do one thing I will apologize in front of all assembled here. Hell, I shall even throw in dinner and pay for your drinks for the rest of the night. But only if you can do this one thing." Smiling, I lean back against the bar.
The Universe's eyes narrow, "What would this one thing be?"
Flashing her that same Irish grin I reply, "Refute my statement, tell me one interaction between you and me that would prove me wrong. If you can provide one, than I will eat so much crow they will have to include Old King Cole and put all them birdies in a pie. Plus of course, paying for your food and drink for the night as recompense."
The Universe's eyes narrowed and she thought, then she stomped her foot and left us patrons to our drinking, for she could not refute any of my statements. A cheer went up at the C#nt's departure, and JC placed my favored drink of vodka, coke and Kailua on the bar.
"Nicely Done," he said followed by the words an Irishman always likes to hear, "Drinks are on the house tonight!"
Thus the dream ended in drunken debauchery and waking to a hangover. All in all not a bad dream.

Also I posted a New Chapter of Displace Darkness. This one gets pretty bloody, you have been warned.

XD. Nice dream, you had there! I think your dream self has been taking lessons from Loki, though. Either that, or he's been hanging with the Aos Sidhe.

We do not talk about Aunt Loki, it is impolite. After all, the best trick and all that. Besides, Uncle Heimdall might take offense.

Kidding, Irish, not Norse. So the correct God would be Smiling Lugh or possibly the Morrigan. Pray It's Lugh, when I emulate the Morrigan nobody laughs and the terms blast radius and collateral damage get brought up. With Lugh It's just "what in the name of holy hell possessed you to completely fill a car with bread dough?" Or "Why did you feel the need to demenstrate to police officers you could accelerate a shard of metal to a speed that sent it through Kevlar, a ballistic gel dummy and out the other side into plywood, at full auto, without gunpowder?" Which in both cases the answer was "I was bored and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Plus they pissed me off/challenged me and I couldn't very well let that go."

Yeeeeaaaah, the three ladies weren't exactly known for their sense of humor, to my knowledge. I'll admit, aside from a bit of knowledge about the Morrigan, mostly from reading about Cu Chulainn, my knowledge of Irish gods is much more lacking than I'd like it to be. Still, Lugh is probably the better choice, anyway. As a solar deity, he'd be pretty closely related to Celestia, I figure. XD. Ooohhhhh. Now there's a thought I might have to toy with myself: Cu Chulainn in Equestria. Hmmm.

You want to let a bearer of the Riastrahd lose in Equestria? In the stories Cu Chulainn becomes a monster whenever he uses it. Reverses his insides independent of his skin, massive strength and agility boosts, not to mention virtually unkillable when under it's effects. And to top it all off a body temp so hot he sets thing on fire. Not to further mention the fact he loses the ability to distinguish friend from foe. Add in his weapon, which is a spear, made from a sea serpent, that sends barbs into whoever he sticks it into, causing it to rip and tear on the way out. The one battle his own men had to lure him into a river with the promise of women and food so they could drop his body temp low enough that he would change back. Oh, Lugh is more the God of skill then anything else. Him I wouldn't mind seeing in Equestria, especially since just for fun he'd bed every female he could, which would be all of them, good, evil, married, single, every race, including the beasts. Then everyone would thank him for it and throw an even bigger party.

Yeah, I know all that, but I was honestly thinking about something more like. . . .Kind of like a “Man behind the myth” kind of thing, to show what he might have been like as just a human. I’ve always viewed the Irish warriors who bore the battle fury as no different from Norse Berserkers. They were just men who, either through some form of psychosis, drug intake or possibly meditation, depending on your point of view, were able to send themselves into a rage.

That said, a sort of blending of the more likely reality with the mythos, added on to the realm of Equestria. . . . I dunno, I think I could make something interesting out of that. It helps that my first big love in historical periods, before the medieval period, was the Roman era, mostly due to the fact that when I first saw an artistic depiction of the Britons, with their hair lime washed and covered in intricate woad designs, I thought it was the coolest damn thing I’d ever seen. XD

Also, wasn’t little Setanta, in the mythology, the son of Lugh? And, by that description, I think Lugh and Pinkie would get along amazingly well! XD

Honestly, berserks and those that suffer under the Riastrahd, both have the same issue. Yes, there are ways to bring the battle rage to the front, but it has to be something one is born with. It is called a gift from the gods, but we all now the kind of gifts the gods prefer to give. Lugh fathered many children, he would get along quite well with everyone. He was a poet, a warrior, a blacksmith, a druid, for lack of a better term, and was crafteir then his entire Pantheon combined. He would have a ton of fun in Equestria. Just remember if you pair him with pinkie be prepared for him to screw her at least once, possibly produce a child. Remember also he is the legendary Jack, the archetype that escapes unscathed from all consequences. Either through his own skill, luck, or likeability.

Well, nothings going yet, and I need to get the present arc in my ongoing outpouring of random bull crap that I call Pony Plots finished before I can start writing anything else. When/If I do, though, I wonder if you’d be interested in helping me out with it a bit? Maybe proof reading and helping me with some of the mythology and such?

4916175
You know what, sure. Provided I am not otherwise engaged, I would be happy to do so.

Thanks! I’ll let you know when/if I start working on it. :pinkiehappy:
