Fiction and the need for Proofers

Proof reading versus Editing. Do I know the difference?
Not right now. Sure I could look it up, but I'm not going to.

I have a new chapter ready to put up. But I spent the last couple nights re-reading the things I already have posted, and I don't really like them. It's not that they're bad, but they definitely aren't as polished as I would like them to be. Now, I could let my work site for six months and then come back to it and edit it myself, but I'd really like it if my production schedule were more...rapid.

So I'm looking for proof readers and editors. The pay: nothing. Because I don't have anything. (Man if I could pay for editors, that would be AWESOME!)

So I'm asking friends and whatnot. We'll see how it goes. If anyone here knows of a place where people sort of just sit around and wait to edit stuff, let me know. :D
