Trying new things, polishing old ones

During the time I was working from home (shortly after the start of quarantine), I discovered the sword-and-sorcery genre. After happening upon audio readings of stories by Robert E. Howard on YouTube, I began immersing myself in the adventures of Solomon Kane and Conan of Cimmeria. Having played Dungeons & Dragons in high school (and still keeping up with every edition of the game since),

Why Diamond Tiara does not attend Crystal Prep Academy

(Aside from the fact that CPA was not introduced until the third movie)

    I recently formulated an explanation:

The Filthy Rich of the Equestria Girls universe was once romantically involved with Abacus Cinch. Although their individual ambitions ultimately led them to drift apart, they remain friends.

    Shadow Five Headcanons

Just recording these thoughts before I call it a night... thought I’d share these for kicks and giggles:

    Sunny Flare

    • Physically the second-smallest of the Shadow Five.
    • Principal Cinch’s niece.
    • A bit of a germaphobe.
    • For some reason, I imagine her being of Italian descent (I have her cheer "bravissima!" in one story).

    Back to the Daily Grind

    Hello everyone!

These last couple of weeks have been quite busy, but productive. Last month, after working from home for nearly six months, I went back to work onsite at my day job. It was a bit of an adjustment going back to a commuting schedule, but it does feel good to get out of the house, even just as part of a daily grind (with all precautions taken of course).

Rolling with the punches · 4:24am Jul 21st, 2018

One week ago today I was let go from my job.

I've been expecting it for a while now (decreasing workload, cutting costs, etc). While my current job hunt takes priority, I will still make the most of my free time to create, whether it be drawing or writing.

RariJack aside, Rollercoaster of Friendship was a disappointment for me. I AM however, VERY intrigued by the next EqG special previewed at SDCC! :raritystarry:

I'm VERY tempted to refine Pretty Little Horses a bit (since I posted it As-Is at the end of a seven-day deadline). Aside from touching up a few rather clumsy lines, I wouldn't mind expanding a little bit on Sour Sweet after her return, and Twilight's thoughts on the way her classmates treated Lemon.

I'm currently working on a quick, easy read (just over 1,000 words) before I take a swing at a longer/multi-chapter story again.

More as The Wheel turns.
