A thought, and possible story idea

Something occurred to me not too long ago. A question that has the potential to be a story in and of itself if someone wished to try and answer it. That question is:

How did human Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash meet?

While we don't actually know, most tend to believe that in the pony world, the two of them met at Flight Camp, where Rainbow Dash stood up for Fluttershy to stop the bullies. However, since humans don't normally fly, there is no flight camp for them to meet at. As such, it had to be something else. And after looking up the comic, something more interesting than just happening to be put in the same homeroom together.

Well, maybe Fluttershy's parents were childhood friends of Rainbow's parents, so Fluttershy and Rainbow LITERALLY have known each other since they were babies. (sheepish grin) I don't have any better guesses.

Shy's parents probably signed her up for a sports camp or something when she was little, to try and help her make some friends and she met Dash there.

The equivalent has to be summer camp. That popular expression "This one time at Band Camp" after all relates to most popular social gatherings to hook up with friends. Not that Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash would have met at a Band Camp. This isn't American Pie... unless you want it to be. I assume to keep it as close to canon as possible! So my theory is Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were coincidentally sent to the same Summer Camp, met each other, and depending on if you think like that, didn't like one another right away. But grew to like one another and the rest is history. It's not my headcanon, or one I follow, but I felt bored for five minutes and responded to this!

Essentially the same as canon, but with an overall Summer Camp vibe to it.
