When I think of Copper Top · 1:50am Jun 26th, 2018

Inside the kitchen of An Wok restaurant in Xingtown Manehattan, an off duty trench-coat wearing Officer Copper Top, and a certain Warlock sit in a table as various Xing and Earth-Ponies cook meals for the customers in the tables right outside the door.

Copper Top: throws black and white pictures depicting ponies ripped to pieces and a single one cut open. Look at this, this has bad magic written all over it, six dead, one cut open. And this symbols drawn in blood, caked by the time we got there, but still somewhat identifiable. Do you know what did this?

Folklore: Looks like cultists, probably worshipers of the Black Goat, the Chesuncook Witch Coven. Which is odd, they are from further up north, they wouldn't perform this sort of thing in the middle of a city much less the largest in Equestria. But the language and the array seem like they were doing something.... They grew something inside the pony with the obviously cut open gut. Mare, young, looked to be in decent shape before her untimely demise. I think what you are seeing is what is left of an unusually violent clandestine caesarean.

Copper Top: Why did they kill everypony then? Why so violently? Seems like the least subtle use of telekinesis I've ever seen.

Folklore: Hehehe. The witches didn't do it.

Copper Top: Come again?

Folklore: Whatever they brought through that mare when they cut the poor lass open is what slaughtered almost everypony in that basement.

Copper Top: Then there is some sort of monster out there on the loose!?

Folklore: Not on the loose, on a metaphorical leash. I'm only guessing based on the fact that it has been a week and you haven't seen more deaths of a similar nature. Which means somepony is controlling that thing, and I can most certainly assume that it is the pony that had the sharp dagger that cut that mare open.

Copper Top: Why do I eat with you?

Folklore: Because ya fancy me eccentric charm?

Copper Top: blush Don't push it!

Folklore: smirking
