Dug out my old laptop's original hard drive and swapped it in place of the current drive. · 8:27am Jun 24th, 2018
Yes, I've had that laptop since third grade back when Windows 7 was the newest thing around, and yes I still use the same laptop, albeit with an upgraded CPU and an extra gig of RAM.
AND HOLY-GEEZ, DO THE MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK.
Also, to this day I have no idea how to transfer my Plants vs. Zombies license from that old drive to my current PC. I know that Plants vs. Zombies uses the Steam API, but at the time when I installed it on that laptop, I installed it through a separate download, rather than through Steam.
Either way, I'm making some factory reset DVDs for that laptop so I can throw in a new drive and relive my childhood experience with Windows 7 on a semi-budget laptop.
For reference, here's the out-of-stock page, complete with image, of Walmart, the place where I got that laptop.

The current form of my laptop was self-upgraded to a Core 2 Duo T7300 and 4 gigs of RAM. And Windows 10 on a newer (but smaller) HDD.
EDIT: Yes, I'm aware that my laptop only has a cheapo mono speaker. I didn't realize that until last year, when I was wondering why stereo music wasn't playing from the speakers the way I wanted it to.
hope things go well
