Notes from Unfinished Stories and Opportunity

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

I know I have been quiet for the past several months, but in case you didn't know, allow me to explain.

I've decided that since I have twelve stories that are still unfinished, I'm going to re-read them to see how to plan them out. And while I was reading and making notes, I've come to a realization. Something to give you, the reader, a unique opportunity.

    Plans Going Forward

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

Before anyone out there get any ideas that, "Hey, Cracked, I have an idea for a story, do you take up requests?" Or if any of you beg for a sequel from any of the more recent stories, I'm gonna have to do something that I never thought I would say here.

    No.

Today's My Birthday! And State of Address. · 7:14am Jun 24th, 2018

Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

As of today, June 24th, I have turned 25 years old. While I would like to play some twist on the Happy Birthday song, I would like to take a moment to say a few things.

Firstly, by the time July second comes around, it will be my fourth anniversary since I started. During which I have done and accomplished much beyond my low expectations as a writer. As of today, I have written a stunning total of 1,496,786 words. This includes having 17 one-shots; 35 short stories (under 20,000 words); 24 novellas (those above 20,000 but under 100,000 words), and 2 novels (those that are above 100,000). With a total of 61 stories under my belt, 55 are complete; 4 are incomplete; 1 is on hiatus; and 1 is currently cancelled. 22 are rated E; 33 are rated T; and 5 are rated M. Also, I am fortunate enough to take part in two collabs with the talented Milo_Chalks.

Overall, I'd say not bad for someone who has been around for this long. As of today, I have 469 followers from across both the U.S. and the world. I follow 25 writers, editors, readers, and friends that at one point or another have helped me. To them, I owe them a debt that I can never repay. I even made friends with a writer that I highly respect, and a upcoming writer that too looks up to me but I could see great promise. I have received hundreds possibly thousands of comments that have given feedback and direction of where to take my stories.

So with making all this progress, where do I go now? Firstly, I will address that I am currently working on the next chapter in "The Second Life of Moztrot" in which I'm hammering him conducting The Magic Flute. Hopefully I should have it out by sometime next week. On that note, I'm planning on finishing the story, I don't know how many chapters it will take, but I am committed to seeing its completion.

At the same time, I'm well aware that this leaves open to the question of what comes next. What will I be doing now after that novel is done? I would like to tackle the six stories that are left unfinished. This would include getting back to work with Milo to finishing "The Honeymoon." As well as completing "Seven Self Portraits," "The Lioness and the Unicorn," "Paper Romance," and rewrite "Friends and Fairytales." All of these I have neglected for too long, and each of them deserve an ending that should have been done a long time ago.

Yet, I still have a small plan after that! One of my goals is to write a sequel to "Inverno in F Minor." Where I want to explore what happens to Inverno with not only having a little sister, but gets the chance to go outside of the Crystal Empire to encounter new cultures, music and ponies to broaden his world view. Another is to write a fic that is inspired by an anime of Classicaloid. In which I will resurrect not one, not five, not ten, but 14 of Equestria's version of classical composers to the modern day in which they discover they have a new type of magic never seen before.

But one of my biggest goals, however, is something that would seem to me out of reach months ago. In that if I'm lucky, and the stars all aline (so to speak) I hope to perhaps collab with one of my favorite writers on this site: TheVClaw. Which not only do I consider him a God of Gay Comedy, but a very talented writer in what he does. Recently, I wrote a one shot for him and today he has done the same for me. I do not know if he would be up to such a collab in the near future, frankly, neither am I as of yet. But when or if the time comes, we may create something that is quite extraordinary.

At the same time, however, that doesn't count the sudden bursts of inspiration that most likely will happen. You'll never know if I may on the spot have the urge to create a one shot or two (or perhaps a short story). So keep an eye out to see what may appear.

That's pretty much all I wanted to say. I thank you all for following me, to continue reading my stories and giving me the motivation to create.

Now I'll end this blog with a birthday song.

Until next year,

Signed your fellow writer, artist, friend, and closeted Brony,

- CrackedInkWell.
