    Howdy!

Wowee, it's been a while! I'm still very much alive, as you can see. Last update from me on here was almost two years ago, I can't say a whole lot has changed other than my place of employment and relationship status.

    Moving on

As an update to my last blog post, which was made back in April, things haven't really changed. In fact, it's almost certain at this point that I will not be writing on this site any more.

I had some great ideas. I really did. But I just don't have the drive to write them anymore. I don't even really like MLP enough anymore to be interested in continuing a fictional universe about it.

    (PLEASE READ) I'm leaving.

Yeah, it's true. I'm gonna be leaving FIMFiction.

Only for a little while, though. I'll be back at some point. There's just a lot going on in my life, on top of the fact that I've had absolutely no drive to write at all for the last two months.

Why chapters take so long · 1:55am Jun 24th, 2018

Hey guys. So the news has been for a short while that I'm back in business now that my computer is back and functional, but since getting it back I have only released one chapter of anything and barely made progress on any others. Why is that?

Well, procrastination is one big factor. And games. Lately I've bought quite a few new games (Watch Dogs on PS3, which I am addicted to as of the past few days), 7 Days to Die (have only played it twice but it's still a fun game), among a few others.

Starting the first week in July, I will be occupied Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday by work presumably until the end of the year when zoo hours change again. This leaves me with four full days of free time (not including outings on any of those days, time before work on the days I work, etc.), but I still don't take much advantage of it to write. And that is because I am slowly starting to drift my attention elsewhere, which I am okay with. No, this does not mean I will stop writing, but before I was pressuring myself into having stories done by a certain time (typically a month, which is quite a bit of time to work through). Now I'm a bit more accepting of the idea that I should only write when I have the time and motivation to do so, and that I shouldn't give my stories deadlines to be finished by. So what does this mean?

Simple. My stories will no longer have weekly chapters (unless a spark of motivation says otherwise) and will update inconsistently based around my personal time. It isn't a horrible thing and actually alleviates stress off my chest about wanting something done sooner than later. That said, I will still keep myself in check to make sure I don't abandon stories for months at a time like I did starting in October, because that leads to a loss of reader interest and I don't want that.

Plus, in just over a year I'll be shipping off to the Navy, which will lead to pretty much my entire schedule being taken up for quite some time. Who knows, by the time I actually can sit down and write for fun again, this site might not exist anymore.

But that's still months ahead. For now, I'm not going anywhere.
