    Supermassive 2023 Art Dump

So! Back. Not dead. Big surprise. Life's been kinda hectic for awhile now for a variety of reasons I won't go too much into, but I've had a nice long break and am feeling ready to get back to a semi-regular writing schedule! However, I have still been doing art for the past,,, six months, has it really been that long? Jeez. So, here's a big ol' pile of stuff that I haven't shared here, by month.

Nothing like a hard day’s work to get up an appetite.
tbh, this might be one of the best things I’ve ever drawn in terms of anatomy and shading.

I Write Like Agatha Christie · 11:49pm Jun 13th, 2018

It's just science, guys. But yeah, I found a site where you can copy-paste some of your work in, a computer analyses it, and it tells you what famous author your writing most resembles. I used the first chapter of It's a Kind of Magic, for instance. I have no idea if this had made the rounds on this site already-- it's a fanfic site, so that seems pretty likely, but hey, maybe not. Here's the link, anyway.

But I LOVE Agatha Christie anyway, so this is just great news. She's the best mystery novelist around. I'm given to understand that her books are outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare, but that seems a little bit of a stretch. Also, she was on Doctor Who, and we share a birthday. It was meant to be. If you try it out, please comment with who you got! I'm very interested to know what famous writers might be springing out stories on this site...

Chapter Four from Equestria Mares got me:

Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie DBE (née Miller; 15 September 1890 – 12 January 1976) was a British crime writer of novels, short stories, and plays. She also wrote romances under the name Mary Westmacott, but she is best remembered for her 66 detective novels...

Chapter Five from EM got me the same. So did some other pieces. So, cool. I do believe I will take that as a compliment.

Meanwhile, the last part of Twilight Doesn't got me:

Stephen Edwin King (born September 21, 1947) is an American author of contemporary horror, suspense, science fiction and fantasy...

Which makes sense, I think, since TD is so dialogue driven, and so sparse on description.

Both of these fine people have certainly inspired elements of my writing.

Strange, though, I was thinking Robert E. Howard might be found in there somewhere. His sword-and-sorcery genre certainly helped inspire Equestria Mares. He's probably just buried under all the maximum verbosity... :raritywink:
