    Zero Fallout

    I recently asked myself if there was a good reason I had all the sporadic, obnoxious blogs littering my profile up. I thought for a few weeks, on and off, and now I finally remembered to do this while I was actually at the computer.

Equestria Delivery Updating Again · 4:22pm May 31st, 2018

TL;DR 5 more new chapters to come, releasing every week, possibly followed by cleanup to the main story.

As my 0.025 readers would have noticed, Equestria Delivery, my Hotline Miami crossover which reached a chapter that literally had the words "FINAL CHAPTER" in the title at the beginning of last year and remained "Incomplete" ever since, is being updated again. This should be a weekly occurence, ending sometime mid-July. [EDIT: The last two chapters are delayed until I actually finish the actual final chapter. Editing the penultimate chapter is something I can't allow myself at the moment as I'm already chewing on glass trying to move through the last stretch of what needs to actually be written. It can't take long...]

This was always the plan. While I call this part "Wrong Address" for reasons that probably seemed clearer back in 2016 when I was coming up with this story, it's not exactly a sequel to the events of ED. In fact, you can - and probably should - look at it as my version of Biker's part of Hotline Miami. We're going back to the past, before the main events even began, and finding out a little bit more about the setting, following a character we've already met several times. The main story of ED is filtered by Ditzy's... specific sort of personality, and while Handsome, our new protagonist, is no less specific, she allows to show off more of how this world works. Ideally.

There will be a total of six chapters until this fic is officially over. Not all of them will follow this story. I'm trying to tie up loose ends, as much as you can do so in a story inspired by Hotline Miami. You can expect these chapters to feel quite different - partly because I wrote them years after the main bulk, and partly because I popped several blood vessels trying to work around the constrictive writing style I've established in this fic while trying to give the reader any interesting information to speak of. I could say that a lot of the differences are also intentional, but it's mostly the aforementioned reasons.

When it's all said and done, I hope to go through all the other chapters and give them a much needed round of edits. Having looked at them recently, I'm reeling from:
1) how badly some of them are written (blame shared between myself and my co-writer);
2) how awful the formatting in some of them is (I'll have to fully reformat them in a place that's not google docs);
3) how unsurprising it is that no one really gave a shit about this fic, because dear gods, talk about burying a good idea underneath way too much stylistic garbage.

I can't fix 3, but ideally I'll be able to fix parts of 1 and 2.

That, however, will come at a later date, and no major plot info will change, aside from possibly tweaking some dates or dialogues to make sense with some of the new ideas in Wrong Address.

For now, I can gladly announce that most of the new chapters have actually already been written - for example, the one I recently published has been there since late 2016 (!), long before the fic reached its so-called end. At the moment I'm balancing between transitioning from university student to unemployed trash squatter and writing the very last, final chapter of Equestria Delivery.

New chapters will release every week, hopefully lending me enough time to finish this one on time.
