The one where Larson strikes again.
This time in spirit, considering Josh Haber wrote it.
ALRIGHTY THEN! This time around, Spike goes through puberty and tries to hide his disgusting facial features and horrifying male body from the rest of the world (sounds like my middle school years in a nutshell). We get to see Spike and Smolder interact a bit, something I wanted since Smolder was introduced, we get even more lore on dragons and their culture, and the zinger comes around...
Spike did it. He earned his wings. He became a princess.
In all seriousness, I loved this episode. It shows that Spike's growing up and the show is finally acknowledging this. Kinda wondered when he was gonna get wings. The possibility for future stories this sets up is incredible. Have at it, MLP crew!

This is what Spike will look like in the Infinity era.
It was a pretty good episode. Nice to see this finally happen. I think this is my 2nd favorite of the season with horse play still being my favorite.
But man makes you wonder how there are still dragons around if they get kicked out and attract predators when this happens. Though I guess it happens rather fast if we’re judging how fast it happened to Spike, so that might be a factor.
So now Twilight, Cadence, Flurryheart, and Spike have wings now. I wonder if Shining is feeling a bit left out now.

I don’t know about Shining Armor, but I’m sure that Scootaloo’s not too pleased with this latest development. I mean, she’s been around since Season 1, and yet she still has yet to take flight.
There have been quite a few to fly before her — Pound Cake, Twilight, Flurry Heart, and now Spike.
I just hope that she’ll be able to fly on her own before the end of Season 9.
His statue in the Crystal Empire will need a little....tweaking....
